Quia is an online environment for teachers. It’s a safe cyber space to integrate technology when

building a collection of teaching materials. The collection of tools for creating online content is relevant to all subjects and levels. It’s a proven education tool that engages students, makes them excited about studying, and increases their grades.

1. Go to www.quia.com

2. Click Quia Web

3. Type ceuenglishteachers in the USERNAME4. Type our password **********

5. Click login

6. This is the English Department’s homepage

7. Using the tools on the left screen, you can now start building your online materials. Click on any icon.

To create a quiz, click quizzes icon

8. Click create a new quiz

9. Type the required

information in sections 1 and 2

Section 1 – Title and description

Section 2 – Select the number of items; the type of question, click Add

10. Type or copy and paste the question in the bar.11. Type the possible answers and tick the correct option.12. Tick also Randomize answer choices13. Should you need more choices, click add more answer choices

14. Repeat steps 10-13 to the next test item until you finish.

18. To go back, click: continue editing at the bottom of the page

19. Scroll down to click DONE20. Your quiz will be saved in the bank of quizzes which you still can later edit using edit option.

21. Copy the URL of your quiz which we will later paste in our webposter account.

22. Set the defaults in the access and global settings. Just follow the settings below; then, click done.

23. To change settings, click assign ; To view students’ grades for this quiz, click grade

9. Type your family name and class in the class name10. Tick Student self- enroll, then SUBMIT

13. Copy the class Code- NPRE369. You can also print the student instructions. Give the classcode to your students so they can enroll in your online class.

14. Repeat steps 8-13 to create more classes.15. To improve your class page and to link other sites, click edit.

Student instruction on how to enroll in our Quia classes

Your instructor requests that you enroll in the following class:   Class: Opina BSN1A  Code: NPRE369Step 1. Go to the Quia Web site at http://www.quia.com/web.

Step 2. Now, click the area labeled Students. When the next page appears, enter your username and password if you already have a Quia account. If you do not have an account, click the link Create my free account. Fill out the form that appears. Select "Student" as the account type. When you are done, press the Create my account button.

Step 3. You should now be in the Student Zone. Type in the class code NPRE369 in the text field and press the Add class button. Now you're done!

Now that you have registered for your instructor's course, you can view your class web page, take quizzes, view your quiz results, view time spent on Quia activities, and read your instructor's feedback from your Quia account.

Follow these steps to view your results:

Step 1. Log in to your account. (Remember, go to the Quia Web home page at http://www.quia.com/web and click the area labeled Students.)

Step 2. Click on the class name.

1. Copy the URL of the quia quiz and paste it in wizard.4teachers. 2. To open wizard.4teachers, type http://wizard.4teachers.org/ in the address bar.

3. In the teacher login Email address, type [email protected] 4. Password: **********

5. Click manage on the chosen topic.

6. Click edit, then links/images

7. Paste the URL of quia quiz; type the title of the quiz in the LINK

8. Click FINISH

9. To go back to main menus, click Back to Manage Wizard
