The Questions:The questions for each chapter of the novel are listed on the following pages. You do not need to answer the questions in complete sentences, just be sure you are being specific and detailed with your answers. For many chapters you will also need complete questions based on poetic devices, but don’t worry, there are plenty of examples to choose from! Be sure to copy these as direct quotes and to record the page on which it was found.

The Journal Prompts: For several of the chapters in Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie, you will be asked to record a journal entry discussing one of the topics from the corresponding chapter. Many of these topics will help you develop and recognize the themes within the novel. When it says “explain” or “describe” I want to see specific, detailed, and fully thought out responses. Incomplete or insufficient responses will result in loss of credit.

Important things to keep in mind when writing the journals : • All entries must be written in paragraph form and written in complete sentences.

• Try to avoid making significant grammar and spelling mistakes.

• You need to write an appropriate amount for the given lines, but a paragraph of six sentences is sufficient if all questions are answered.

• Please write neatly! ☺
