This is the questionnaire I gave to people to figure out how I am going to make my magazine.

This pie chart shows that the majority of the people I questioned preferred the Alternative/Indie Genre. So this is the genre my music magazine will be based around. The numbers don’t match up with how many people I asked but that is because most people ticked more than one box.

I asked people what they liked in a magazine so I knew what kind of articles to put in mine. The most popular thing that was liked in a magazine was interviews so I now know that when I do my double page spread it should be an interview with a musician. When I asked what price people would pay for a really good magazine, most went with £3.00-£4.00. The numbers don’t match up with how many people I asked but that is because most people ticked more than one box.

I also asked people what their favourite magazine covers were so that I could get inspiration from the most popular one. The magazine that was written down the most was I-D magazine. So I will look at this magazine for inspiration. The numbers don’t match up with how many people I asked but that is because most people gave more than one answer.

When I asked what peoples favourite music magazines were a lot of people said they didn’t read any. But out of the people that do, the majority of them preferred CLASH magazine. The numbers don’t match up with how many people I asked but that is because most people didn’t read any.

I also asked what people’s favourite magazine style was and the majority answered simple, so I must remember to make my magazine simple and easy to read.
