• For my audience feedback, I created a questionnaire, this was so I could find out what my audience thought of the magazine and what they thought was good, bad and related to the indie rock genre about the magazine.
• I questioned 10 people.
1. What do you think of the colour
scheme of my front cover? Does it suit
the indie rock genre? • All of the respondents said it was a
good colour scheme for the indie rock genre.
• ‘yes, red, black and white fit with the indie rock genre’
• ‘they fit well with the genre’
• ‘the colours come to mind when I think of indie rock’

As from the feedback from my questionnaire, I have found that the artists face stands out the most from the magazine. This is what I was aiming to do and it would catch the audiences attention.

The audience responded in three different areas. Many thought that the artists was the main reason why my magazine fit the specific genre, this is because of the style of the artist, she has a very laid back look and it wearing the indie fashion and make-up look.

I asked this question so I could find out if my front cover is eye catching enough and looks interesting to make someone pick the magazine up and buy it. From the results of my questionnaire it shows that my cover lines of my front cover of ‘indie-vidual’ are the most successful features.

6. What do you think of the
pictures used in the content
page?• All the respondents either answered
this question with good and they look professionally taken, this shows that the pictures of the content page could be compared to professional music magazines.
7. Do the colours on the
content page reflect the indie
rock genre to you?

All the respondents said yes the colours do go with the genre, this shows that black, red and white where the right colours for the theme of the magazine.
8.Does the content page reflect the indie

I asked this question because it is not only important that the front cover reflects an indie rock genre but also the content page must also, all the respondents answered yes and it was split between the colours of the content page and the artists on the content page that make the content page have an indie rock feel.
9.Does the drop quote on
the DPS make you want to
read the article?• I asked this question because I wanted to
know if the drop quote was good enough to get the reader to read the whole article.All the respondents said that the drop quote would want to make them read on;

• ‘I want to find out what happened’
• ‘it sounds interesting’
10.Do you think the colour scheme of
the DPS is suitable for the band and the
genre of it?

no The colour scheme for my double page spread is black, white and orange. Only one respondent said that the colour theme did not go but they said they would have used purple instead of orange; the rest said that the colour theme fit the band ‘The Rhythm Travellers’ well.
11. What do you think of the images
on the DPS?• This question was to find out what
people thought of the images of the band ‘The Rhythm Travellers’. I found that most liked the black and white effect however one did not and would have preferred it in colour, however those who did say it was good said it matched the colour theme of the article. They also commented that the pictures look professional and capture the artists in the moment.
12.What do you think of the magazine as a
whole?

7I asked the respondents what they thought of the magazine as a whole, front cover, content page and double page spread. Most said they would buy it and other said it was good so it is all positive feedback. This also shows that my magazine would be able to compete with other music magazines

12This question is to find out if my magazine would be able to compete on the market with other existing music magazines. Fortunately all the respondents said yes, some of the reasons where, that it has good content, it looks professional, the images are great and the interview is good.
