5- How did you attract/address your audience?

My mast head will attract the audience because of the bright, bold colour. The un-formal, sans serif font, will create a relaxed image that will address my target audience well.

The artist pictured look calm and happy, she appears fresh reflecting the right image that will attract both the parents and the younger target audience. It is placed in the centre of the page and is very large so will instantly catch the audiences eye.

The names of the artists along the side of the page, plus the small article preview, will attract the audience because they are all recognisable, encouraging the audience to read on further about them. This convention is commonly used on music magazines

A competition to win the chance to meet a pop star will interest an audience and will also allow them to feel involved.

This bold, bright title should attract a reader. It’s effective hand written style and soft colour will especially attract the audience. The quote underneath it will entice the audience encouraging them to read the article.

This is a feature that is only shown on a particular type of magazine, including mine. These features will attract the female audience. The strong tag line will encourage the readers to view the article

This round shape that is a bright bold colour will instantly catch the audiences eye, therefore attracting them towards the magazine. The fact that it states ‘Exclusive Interview’ will excite and intrigue the audience encouraging them to read on.

These extra added photos add more interest to the page and the captions attached hold buzz words that will also catch the audiences eye, widening the interest to read this magazine.

Page 2: Question 5

This title is bold and bright. The banner creates a differing style that will capture the audiences attention. The font is again sans serif, following the tone of the front cover.

Here I have highlighted some of the articles to create interest within the page. The bright yellow colour I have used will brighten up the page and will engage the audience so they will read what has been highlighted.

My contents have been divided into four clearly titled boxes and have been listed in order, creating a clean contents page that is easy to understand. Plus the bright pink colour which has been used for the boxes not only fits in with the tone of the magazine, but will also capture the attention of the reader.

This star has been added to not only create interest but to also advertise the competition, which will encourage the readers to engage with the magazine.

I have added a photo of the front cover with page numbers coming out of it to make it easier for the audience to find out where the key articles are within this magazine. It is a clear, simple method that will attract the audience.

I have added a small photo in the corner to emphasise the happy, warm tone to this magazine, it will also give it more of a visual look, as well as creating more interest for the audience.

The page numbers have been enlarged for some of the articles because not only is it a convention of music magazines, but it is also an effective way of addressing the audience, making it clear.

Page 3: Question 5

This title reflects the artist and her character. The flowing hand writing and the bright pink colour. It also attracts the female audience encouraging them to read the article.

The light purple background will again attract the female audience because it is a very feminine colour. Although it is slightly overpowering I believe the softness to it creates a good, clean background that backs up the article well.

I have stated ‘Exclusive Interview’ on the corner of the page to attract the audiences attention, because this buzz word will interest them, enticing them to read on.

The writing that I have used uses a relaxed, in-formal audience which attract the audience. It is easy to read and to relate to . I have tried to include subjects that would interest the readers including fashion, music and love.

The font is sans serif making it more personal and less in-formal, attracting the audience.

I again like the front page have placed a yellow circle on the page including a pull quote, this not only relates to the front page but also interests the readers, making them want to read on to find out more detail about the quote used.
