My Audience
My audience will most likely be males in their 20s up to their 40s as this is the demographic of people who watch thriller films.
Why is this your target audience?
This is my target audience because these are the people who watch thrillers and will actually enjoy them because they are old enough to understand what is going on and also these are the people who are going to relate to my main characters the most giving these people the biggest sense of escapism.
How do you think your film suits the target audience?
My film suits my target audience because I didn't spoon feed them my story but instead I decided to treat them as adults and let them figure out the story and the plot of the film themselves and see if they have a bigger sense of escapism.
Who else do you think your film will attract?
I think my film could attract teenage boys aswell due to the action parts of my film however I don't think this age group would care much for the actual story of the film and would only really focus their attention on the action sequences.
What other films attract a similar target audience?
Other films that I believe have a similar target audience are Safe House and Insomnia both of which are thriller films, I believe that both of these films had a similar target audience to myself which is why I took heavy inspiration from both of these films.
How have your actors been chosen to fit your target audience?
I chose my actors to appeal to the majority male demographic, I also made sure that they were young and wore similar clothes to what the majority of males wear today so the audience feels more relatable to the characters.
Do you think the target audience will like the representation of demographics similar to their own – will they reject them or find them inspirational
Because its a crime thriller I think that the audience will most likely reject their representations however I do believe that it will at least make them think about their actions more and give some people an insight into how they are actually represented in media.
