What have you learnt from audience feedback?

Audience Question and General Answers After Watching Stake Out

Question: So before watching the film, what did you think it would be about?Answers: I thought it would be a mystery, maybe a horror due to the film title and the film

poster and radio trailer.Question: After watching it do you think it lived up to your expectations?

Answer: Yeah defiantly, I didn’t expect it at all, the black and white theme added to the dark and gloomy atmosphere. It was well written and acted out and very good editing.

Question: Where you surprised by the ending?Answer: Yeah I once again didn’t expect that at all, the vampire touch reminded me of a

weird yet wonderful twilight film. The shock was very thrilling and like I’ve said very unexpected.

Question: Did the film keep you on your toe all the through?Answer: The majority of the time yes as I didn’t no what to expect, I’ve never seen

anything like it, Its original, I think it should be a Hollywood hit!Question: What was your favourite part of the film?

Answer: The stake out bit where the 3 main characters come together without Rosalie knowing about it, it keeps you thinking what’s going to happen next if she catches

them. Question: Finally, is there any suggestions you have that you think would improve the

film?Answer: Not really I thought it was done really well, It fitted in nicely with the trailer and

the poster. However some of the acting could have been more convincing but they all did really well considering.

Questions For me…Will this be the only or just the main audience of the film?No, not at all I feel that this will appeal to all age groups as it relates to all of the films

and t.v shows above. However it is similar in a way to twilight which is obviously very popular at the moment and that is their target audience age range to which is why it’s ours too.

Where would you expect your film to be exhibited for your audience to watch?I would expect our short film to be shown at short film festivals at the Sundance short

film festival or even udderbelly which is obviously where the audience can exhibit them. Our audience can also view it online on things such as YouTube, blogger and Vimeo.

What are your thoughts on the audience reactions?The feedback that we received from the audience of the film was very positive with all of

them giving above average which was great. The average was around 7 out of 10 which I personally thought was reasonable. The majority of them thought that the stake out part of the film and the ending where the best parts, which I totally agree with them as I feel the same. These were the funniest parts to film, I didn’t think it would be as fun as it was to shoot a film but it really was, even if it was stressful at times. I am very happy with the positive feedback which I believe it deserves.

How might you improve the film?To improve the film I think we would of needed some more time as at times we felt a tad

bit rushed which can be seen in some scenes. Also use more of a variety of locations as on a number of scenes we had to use he same room just set it up differently, however I still feel as though it was believable.

Summary…

So all in all after looking through all the answers, marks out of 10 and overall

reaction to STAKE OUT, I feel as though the film has

been a success and these results prove that. There is a few things that could

have been improved on and now I know for next time which is a great help. I

am really happy with the final film and even happier that everyone else feels

the same.
