Brand Identity• Brand identity is the visible elements of a brand; colours, design, logotype,

name and symbol. These all together identify and distinguish the brand in a consumers mind.

• Brand identity is a very important part of marketing as it is says everything about your products and what they want to be.

All 3 of our products have a strong, significant link. The police measuring board is a common theme throughout all 3 products, especially the poster and trailer. We have put the black stripes as the backdrop of the magazine to continue to constitute evidence of our brand identity being strong. This brand identity portrays the genre of our film and we feel is a very memorable picture and way of establishing our film.

Colour

The colour red is very prominent in our poster and magazine writing is also a common theme in our poster and magazine as it conveys blood, crime and a sense of fear. The colour white is used frequently throughout all 3 products; it stands out on our dark backgrounds for titles on the trailer and the police line up board for the poster. It is easy and clear to read and also showed to be very common on other crime film trailers. We have used the colour yellow for the magazine as it important we stick to the usual conventions for Empire Magazine to make sure ours looks as realistic as possible, even though it doesn’t completely match our other two products. lt for the magazine cover, however not so much for the trailer.

The two main characters are also a big way of establishing our film as these protagonists are shown as a husband and wife criminals. The repetition of them both being in the trailer, on the magazine cover and on the poster portrays their importance and gives the audience a sense of relation to the characters before they go and see the film so they are slightly more aware of what to expect. Having a women and a male as our main characters then creates more of a range to our audience because crime films are commonly known for the mass male audiences, however this one we truly believe it would have quite an equal male and female viewing. Moreover, the fact that they are a couple creates a bigger chance of appealing to other couples. The characters are supposedly in their 20’s so they would be quite relatable to most of our target audience members, (even though the storyline is most likely to not be relatable)
