• Gender: My magazine is aimed primarily at females but could also target males that like the same music and artists. The Cover star is a male and looks like a cool country star, this will make the male audience want to look like and be like him and it will attract the female audience as they will be attracted to the celebrity.

• Age: The target audience for my magazine is from the age of 13-18. The cover star is within this age range so the reader can relate to him.

• Genre: The genre is 'Country' this is portrayed through the cover stars clothes, where he is and the guitar. It is also portrayed through the other stars mentioned in the magazine and through the stars' name.

Page 5: Question 2

• This attracts the reader as it suggests that this is THE magazine to buy as it is number one (the best magazine). It suggests a uniqueness o the product and implies there is nothing else like it in the market. It draws the reader in as it is at the top and it is big and bold.

• The word ‘exclusive’ attracts the buyer as it means this article about this star is only available in this magazine so they will feel the need to buy it. Also the guitar attracts the buyer as it is something they like, therefore they will be interested in the article.

• The price and the date attract the reader as it shows that they can only get it monthly and that the price is very cheap for a monthly issue. The barcode also attracts the reader as it proves that it is ready to be bought and read.

• What the star is wearing attracts the buyer as he is wearing country style clothes and he is a teenager, therefore he will attract the primary audience.

• Colour: The white and black contrast each other and they both stand out from the brown background, therefore this cover will stand out above the rest on the shelf and will attract the audience. Also the star is wearing a bright coloured shirt which stands out, this enhances the importance of this star and attracts the audience even more.

• Extra Artists: The extra artists along the side of the magazine widens the audience because if they don’t like the cover star, there is also the extra artists that may attract them.

• Main Feature: The main feature stands out as it is big, bold and white which stands out against the black and brown. The word ‘exclusive’ is written below it which emphasises how important the main feature is.

Page 7: Question 2

• The colours of the title are the same as the colours on the front cover which creates a USP and keeps the same style.

• This picture and short piece of text entices the reader to read the article, it also informs the reader that this is the same article that is advertised on the front cover by saying ‘cover story’ and ‘exclusive’.

• This shows the more regular activities in the magazine, this attracts the people who constantly buy the magazine and makes them want to carry on buying the magazine.

Page 8: Question 2

• This half of the double page spread attracts the audience, this is because teenagers often love to put posters up of their favourite artists, therefore by making half of the double page spread an image with the stars’ name, it attracts the primary audience as they can cut this page out and stick it up on their wall. The purple writing at the bottom informs the reader who took the photo.

• This thumbnail style of putting the images together, attracts the audience as they love to see lots of images of their favourite celebrities.

Page 9: Question 2

• The colour scheme throughout: Purple, Black and White

• The purple keeps the magazine looking quite feminine which appeals to the primary audience.

• The black and white contrast each other and highlight where the important pieces of information are.
