How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Page 2: Question 2

How obvious?

• In the project video social groups that are normally shown with ease in the popular mainstream horror films such as the jock or the druggy, this is because we didn’t want to drag ideas from successful films just because of their successfulness.

Page 3: Question 2

Our character

• It is apparent that the character in our project has recently lost her home for some reason that is unexplained in our short sequence and she has took shelter in a rather large open and abandoned building.

Page 4: Question 2

The meaning

• We used a character such as this to portray the dangers and risks facing some of the youth right now, although through the clothing it may not be apparent at first but there are signs of strength in the character that are hinted towards.

Page 5: Question 2

Against normality

• Normal horror films that involve teenagers choose to fixate the film on a grouping of friends around 18-25 with different characteristics the contradict each other for example the lazy drug inducing teenager would be best friends with the jock however in our project we believe we should focus on one character and try to bring out how danger can change a character and not just show a few peoples reactions to a monster or murder.
