Question 1: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? While creating my final product I have tried to follow the stereotypical conventions of a typical teen pop magazine.

I looked at other teen pop magazines such as ‚“top of the pops“ and looked at the way they presented the masthead , font and colour. They were bright eye catching colours with childlike font so i tried take inspiration from this for my final product by having a simple text similar to the top of the pops magazine and also having a feminine lilac colour for my masthead.

Throughout my written article I have used pull quotes as way to grasp my audience’s attention

and intrigue them more into the article. It is written a very light hearted and chatty tone to make it more suitable and relatable for my young teen target audience. This is what you would typically expect to find in a teen pop magazine. I took ideas from my product research to find a suitable simple font that would be easy to read and follow for my young teen target audience.

I have tried to follow the typical design layout of a teen magazine so it’s more appropriate and attracting to my target audience. I wanted my layout to be simple so the pages weren’t too cluttered to create an easy reader for my audience and also so it didn’t put them off with too much information
