In our film sequence, one of our first conventions was locations. We used a small woodland walk near my house which fitted the 'creepy wood' convention, as the small wood was dark, compacted and disserted. This was the only location which we used but we used different areas of it to portray a different surrounding to the audience.

We decided that the clothing of our cast members were to be fitted around their character. The first character is dressed in a simple dress, cardigan, a bright ribbon with matching shoes. This was to portray a stereotypical young girl, as young girls usually were simple and matching clothing. The other three characters were dressed in clothing which matched their character. A floral top, light washed jeans and floral shoes for a stereotypical Barbie doll; a checked shirt, jean shorts and a brown hat for a stereotypical cowboy and; a lace, old fashioned dress for a stereotypical pot doll. We wanted the clothing to portray their character as popular films in the horror industry use clothing to illustrate the type of character they are. We also used make-up, to portray their character throughout the whole film sequence. We thought that this would illustrate the characters more with matching the makeup with the clothing.

As a sub-genre, we decided that our film best fitted a 'psychological horror', as the makeup changes at the same time as the atmosphere does. We changed the lighting darker to emphasise a more eerie atmosphere and changed the colour of some of the clips to portray a psychologically strange film sequence.

We only filmed in one location but tried to use a variety of cinematography shots such as, a 'long shot' at the start when she is skipping through the wood. This shot is commonly used in horror films to establish where the character is and it adds the tension of not knowing what is going to happen next.

For sound, we didn't have any dialogue as we wanted the music and sound effects (which we got from royalty free music) to create the tension for the audience. We didn't think that dialogue would effective in our film either as the characters body language kind of 'told the story'. We wanted to create a unique, unthought-of idea.
