Sinfonia VarsoviaIn 1984, the violinist Y. Menuhin was invited to Poland to perform as a soloist and conductor with the then-existing Polish Chamber Orch. Y. Menuhin expressed his desire to continue working with the new-formed group and became the 1st guest conductor of the orchestra, which took the name Sinfonia Varsovia. A special slot in the orchestra’s calendar is reserved for the La Folle Journée Festival and R. Martin’s projects. The orchestra boasts a discography of over 200 albums. K. Penderecki became the orchestra’s musical director in 1997 and its artistic director in 2003. In 2008 the post of the orchestra’s musical director was given to the world-famous French conductor M. Minkowski. The Sinfonia Varso-via Foundation was established in 2000 by F. Wybrańczyk. The foundation initiates and supports the orchestra’s artistic endeavours. It promotes in particular Polish composers and young talents and organises the annual Sinfonia To Its City festival. The activities of the Foundation are sup-ported by the Polservice Patent and Trademark Attorneys’ Office and by Bank BPH. The Orchestra’s coordinator is the Capital City of Warsaw.

Jean-Claude Casadesus, conductorHaving trained with Pierre Dervaux and Pierre Boulez, Jean-Claude Casadesus has been in turn musical director of Châtelet, the Opéra de Paris and the Opéra-Comique, before participating in the creation of the Orchestre des Pays de la Loire. In 1976, he created the Lille National Orchestra. In 1976, he created the Lille National Orchestra. . In parallel, J-C Casadesus has been a regular guest of the greatest international orchestras and also very active on the lyric stage, in particular at Monte Carlo, the Flemish Opera and, of course, the Opéra de Lille.. Abdel Rahman El Bacha, pianoBorn in Beirut in 1958, A. R. El Bacha lives in France where he attended advanced classes from the age of sixteen in P. Sancan’s class at the Paris Cons., and earned four 1st prizes. Since the dazzling revelation of his talent at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 1978, which he won unanimously, and after he has performed with such orchestras as the Berlin Philharmnoique., the Paris Orch., the Tokyo NHK, the English Chamber Orch. Since his 1st record, devoted to Prokofiev’s early works, for which he won the Ch. Cros Academy’s Grand Prize, he has recorded numerous works (Bach, Ravel, Schubert, Schumann, Rachmaninov) at Forlane, as well as Prokofiev’s 5 concertos (live) at Fuga Libera. His complete sonatas of Beethoven and works for piano solo by Chopin are a resounding success, in the concert hall and on CD. He is master of piano at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, is also a composer.

A. R. El Bacha werd in 1958 in Beiroet geboren en woont in Frankrijk. Op zijn zestiende gaat hij zich vervolmaken aan het Cons. Nati-onal Supérieur van Parijs, bij P. Sancan. Hij behaalt er vier 1ste prijzen. Nadat hij in 1978 de Koningin Elisabethwedstijd overweldigend wint, neemt hij een adempauze om zijn repertorium uit te breiden. Hij speelt samen met de Philh. van Berlijn, het orkest van Parijs, het NHK van Tokio, het English Chamber Orchestra Sinds zijn 1st plaat, die gewijd is aan de Oeuvres van Prokofjev en die de Grand Prix de l’Académie Ch. Amalia Avilán, soprano A. Avilán (1986), born in Colombia, holds a degree in music from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional. She studied from 2005 to 2010 with the Cuban baritone R. Calzadilla. At the beginning of 2008, having been selected as one of the win-ners of the Voice Competiti° Opera and Zarzuela al Parque” and the J. Manzur’s Foundation for the Performing Arts, she appeared with the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra. La Leyenda del Beso and Antologia de La Zarzuela. Mertol Demirelli, piano M. Demirelli was born in 1996 in Ankara. He began his music studies when he was four years old. M. Demirelli was ac-cepted to the Bilkent University, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Music Preparatory Primary School with full scho-larship. At the age of seven, he won the TBLA Grand Prize Italy. In January 2004, Mertol gave concerts at Newcastle (England) in 2004, at New York including Carnegie Hall and Arkansas-Little Rock. Since 2003, he is giving concerts in Turkey and in 2004, he started giving concerts in Jordan, Lithuania, Switzerland and Russia. When he was ten in 2007, at the opening of the 35th International Istanbul Music Festival, he played the J.S. Bach Concerto for 2 Pianos with Ý. Biret at Hagia Eirene Museum. M. Pavel Gomziakov, celloPavel Gomziakov was born in the city of Tchaikovsky in 1975. He studied at the Gnessin School in Moscow, later attending the Mos-cow State Conservatory. As well as appearing as a chamber music soloist, he has given regular concerts with Maria João Pires, starting with a performance at the 2007 Escorial Festival in Spain. . In 2010 Pavel Gomziakov made a highly successful USA debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Trevor Pinnock, and as a result was immediately reinvited to perform with the CSO in the 2011-2012 season. In 2009 he released a recording of Chopin’s Cello Sonatas on the Deutsche Grammophon label, alongside Maria Joao Pires.

S. Jankova was born in 1988 in Sofia. She plays the violin at the age of 6 and studies in Sofia, Ankara and Hamburg. Stefania is now a master student at the Univ. for Music and Permorming Arts in Vienna, Austria. 1st Prize Winner at the Competition Svetoslav Obretenov and Grand Prix at the Musicof Austria and Germany Competition S. Jankova plays solo concerts with the Academic Symphony Orchestra in Sofia. She took part in the New Symphony Orchestra at the Ushuaia Festival 2008 in Argentina. In 2011 S. Jankova joined the Orch. Academy of Esterhazy Palace with chamber music concerts in the Haydnhaal. S. Jankova started playing with Quintet “Piacere” in 2006,1st prize-winner at Concer-tino Praga 2006, Czech Republic and the Competition Young Virtuosos 2007, Bulgaria. They performed in Austria and Germany in concerts organized by European Union of Music Competition for Youth.

A. Morel begon haar opleiding in Lyon, waar ze ging studeren aan het Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique les volgde bij F. Pollet. Van 2006 tot 2008 vervolmaakte ze zich aan de Op. Bayerische Staatsoper in München en werkt ze samen met K. Stoyanova. Sinds 2007 heeft ze deelgenomen aan producties van de Bayerische Staatsoper (Carmen, Dialogues des Car-mélites, La Traviata, Die Zauberflöte, Hänsel und Gretel, Parsifal, Elektra, Nabucco, Ariadne auf Naxos), onder de leiding van K. The artists

Sébastien Parotte, baritone

Born Belgium in 1984, S. Parotte was very early selected by the Opera Royal de Liège and by the Monnaie to sing children’s soloist roles. At the age of 17, he entered the class of M. Besselink, at the Maastricht Conservatory, where he earned his master’s degree. In 2005 he was selected by ‘Jeunesses Musicales’ Deutschland for La Traviata (Baron), and in 2007 for the production of La Cenerentola (Don Magnifico). A versatile musician, he holds a degree in contrabass from the Royal Conser-vatory of Liège, he has worked in Rome with M. Giorgi and has already performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Opera of Liège. He was a member of the Young Voices of the Rhine at the National Rhine Opera (2007-2008). In 2008, he joined the Music Chapel under the direction of J. van Dam. He received a scholarship granted by Province du Brabant Wallon. S. Parotte is laureate of the International Queen Elisabeth Music Competition – voice 2011.

Né en Belgique en 1984, S. Parotte est rapidement sélectionné par l’Opéra Royal de Liège et par la Monnaie pour chanter les rôles d’enfants solistes. A 17 ans, il entre dans la classe de chant de M. Il est lauréat du Concours Musical Internationaol Reine Elisabeth – chant 2011.

Petrova born in Sofia in 1990, starts playing the violin at age 4 and is awarded with the Mozart medal and rating The youngest artist of UNESCO, and wins the 1st prize in the festival Y. Talents in Dobrich. She studies at the Hoch für Musik und Th. Rostock in the class of P. Munteanu. She wins the competiion Kloster Schöntal. Liya wins the 2d prize at the competition L. Spohr, and obtains the extraordinary prize on the Young Virtuoses. L. Petrova becomes 'musician of the Bulgarian Radio. Her latest award is 3d place at Vaclav Huml competition. She has awards with the ensemble "Piacere". She gives concerts all over Europe, Israel and USA. She works with B. Kuschnir, L. Kaplan, I. Gitlys, E. Grach, S. Mintz. She plays a Italian violin C. Tononi 1727, made available by «Deutsche Stiftung Musik». In 2010, she joins the Music Chapel, under the direction of A. Dumay.

Philippe Riga, piano P. Riga earned the Higher Diploma in Piano by J. Cl Vanden Eynden at the Brussels R. Cons. he has obtained, (summa cum laude) 1st Prize in Chamber Music, 1st Prize in Accompaniment, and 1st Prize in harpsichord by F. Haas. He has taken part in nu-merous concerts with Udo Reinemann, E. Gäbele, S. Torbey et T. Taguchi. He cooperates regularly with the Monnaie and with the Anima Eterna Orch. under the direction of J. Van Immerseel, on the pianoforte and harpsichord. He has just recorded with E. Gäbele French melodies by I. Poldowsk. He has accompanied master classes, at the Monnaie by H. Deutsch and S. Eken, at the Music Chapel under the direction of J. van Dam, A. Scholl, T. Krause at the Enghien Musical Encouters, under the direction of J. Van Nes, U. Eisenlohr, D. Ottevaere, as well as at the Lied and Melody master classes given by U. Reinemann, at the Festival des Heures Romantiques. He is a piano accompanist at the Music Chapel and professor of harpsichord in Brussels.

Hij behaalde er ook met de grootste onderscheiding een 1ste Prijs Kamermuziek, een Eerste Prijs Begeleiding en een Eerste Prijs Klave-cimbel in de klas van Frédéric Haas. Hij werkte mee aan talrijke concerten met Reinemann, E. Gäbele, S.Torbey en T. Taguchi. Hij maakte onlangs een CD met Franse melodieën van I. Poldowski met de sopraan E. Gäbele en speelt hiervoor op een Erard-piano. Hij begeleidde masterclasses, onder meer in de Munt voor H. Deutsch en S. Eken, in de Muziekkapel tijdens de lessen van J. van Dam, A. Scholl, T. Krause en M. Alcantara, tijdens de Muzikale Ontmoetingen van Edingen bij J. Van Nes, U. Eisenlohr, D.Ottevaere, en ook masterclasses Lied en Melodieën die worden gegeven door Udo Reinemann tijdens het Festival des Heures Romantiques. Hij is momenteel pianist-begeleider in de Muziekkapel, leraar (pianoforte en klavecimbel) in Brussel.

Giovanni Tristacci, tenorG. Tristacci was born in 1983 in Bento Gonçaves, Brazil and started his lessons at the Porto Alegre Music School. In 2004 he went to Rio de Janeiro to study with the tenor E. Álvares. He received his Bachelor of Music degree at the Univ. of Rio de Ja-neiro in 2008. His 1st role was “A Trojan” in Mozart’s Idomeneo, Re di Creta at the Rio de Janeiro Mun. Theatre, where he also sang in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. In 2007 he sang in the opera Osvaldo Cruz by S. Barbato. He has also sung Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola, and Lucindo in Le Donne Cambiate (M. Portugal), and has sung in the Messiah. In 2009 he was admitted to the Cons. del Liceo, Barcelona, to study with E. Gimenez, where he stayed until June 2010, when he was accepted into the Centro P. Domingo in Valencia. In 2010 G. Tristacci sang Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and joined in 2011 the Music Chapel under the direction of J. van Dam.

Avanesyan Trio Created in 2010, the Avanesyan trio brings together the brothers Hrachya and Sevak Avanesyan and Julien Libeer, three musicians whose individual careers led them already to famous venues: the Wigmore Hall in London, the Casa da Musica in Lisbon or the Théâtre de la Ville de Paris. Rooted as well in the Russian tradition as in the occidental culture, the Avanesyan trio will not only let rediscover the great works of the repertoire but also let know lesser known works by the large public, with a special affinity for Armenian chamber music. In September 2010, the trio joins the Chamber Music section of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, under the direction of the Artemis Quartett. For session 2010-2011, the trio received a scholarship from InBev-Baillet Latour.

Fondé en 2010, le trio Avanesyan réunit les frères Hrachya et Sevak Avanesyan, et Julien Libeer, trois musiciens dont les parcours individuels ont déjà mené à des salles réputées telles que la Wigmore Hall de Londres ou la Casa da Musica à Lisbonne, en passant par le Théâtre de la Ville de Paris. Ancré aussi bien dans la tradition russe que dans la culture occidentale, le trio Avanesyan s’engage non seulement à faire redécouvrir les grandes oeuvres du répertoire, mais aussi à quitter les sentiers battus et de faire découvrir des chefs d’oeuvre moins connus du grand public, avec une affinité particulière pour la musique de chambre arménienne. Het trio Avanesyan werd in 2010 opgericht. Het bestaat uit de broers Hrachya en Sevak Avanesyan en Julien Libeer, drie musici wiens indivi-dueel parcours ze al leidde tot befaamde zalen, zoals de Wigmore Hall in Londen of La Casa da Musica in Lissabon en het Parijse Théâtre de la Ville. Het trio is even sterk verankerd in de Russische traditie als in de Westerse cultuur.
