UDR Feature in Host Mode (1)

In Android and Linux systems, LC79D works as a receiver only, and runs PVT algorithm on the

host. The benefit of this mode is that if the system is strong enough, then an external 6-axis

sensor can be designed to enable Untethered dead reckoning feature, thus providing further

improved performance.

Regulatory (Indian government)

Better multipath performance in India/Asia

• More visible satellites in urban canyon

• Higher elevation satellites

Jamming benefits (if L1 is jammed)

• Can demonstrate at Proof of Concept stage

• L1 goes down, L5 stays strong

Complementary to BeiDou and QZSS regional systems

IRNSS Key Benefits

AGNSS Features

Ephemeris (or Extended Ephemeris: Long Term Orbits, LTO)

• Ephemeris in assist data enables GNSS fixes without direct view of SVs.

• Decoding ephemeris from SVs requires direct view and takes 30s, ephemeris in assist data saves this time.

• If time is not present, the receiver must decode

TOW (transmits each 6s for each SV) and

Week number (transmits each 30s, from at least one SV)

Reference Time (2-3s Accuracy)

• With reference time, receivers can compute SV positions from ephemeris

• With reference time, there is no need to decode week number - only TOW decoding is needed

Reference Location (Different Uncertainties)

• Enable SV visibility calculation (≤ 1400km reference location uncertainty)

• Resolve PRN uncertainty (≤ 150km reference location uncertainty)

• Enable estimate of received frequency from each SV (≤ 50km reference location uncertainty)

• Enable estimate of search window around frequency from each SV (≤ 50km reference location uncertainty)
