On Monday the 3rd of October the students all enjoyed a Pupil Free Day while Miss Blight and I worked on the cur- riculum for Term 4. The new CBL unit is titled, “Let Me Entertain You!” and it will help upskill the students in their ability to plan, write and speak to an audience. Their challenge will involve public speaking and we thank the Lions Club for their support this term and in 2017. Breakfast Club began on Friday and the students enjoyed some delicious pancakes cooked by Judy and Marion representing the Cooperating / Catholic Church. Next week we look forward to sausages and bacon cooked by the Lion’s Club. On Monday the 10th of October the students, Mrs Make- ham and myself travelled to Lake Charm to participate in an Indonesian Day. The day proved to be lots of fun. The students used Indonesian musical instruments, danced, sang and rode Indonesian bikes—a highlight. At lunchtime we were treated to some delicious Fried Rice before returning to the multi-purpose room to perform an Indonesian play. Approximately 60 students from Lake Charm, Ultima, Kerang and Quambatook were in- volved in the day. Over the holidays our students entered their ART work and cakes in the Quambatook ART competition. They were very proud of their achievements and thrilled with their successes! A fantastic community event that we look forward to supporting again next year! Wishing you all a lovely week with (hopefully lots of) sun- shine!
