Job Role Reinforcement Fitter
Role Description
To work as Reinforcement Fitter and perform fabrication and fixing of
reinforcement for complex structures such as arches, domes, and circular
structures and placing of mechanical couplers for extension of rebars,
under supervision of level -5 foreman reinforcement and above as per
applicability. Also the job holder should be able to supervise & engage the
work of bar bender and steel fixer level -3 and below suitably and
productively.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform fabrication and fixing
of reinforcement for complex structures as per Drawings, BBS and standard codes
provision.
Scope
The scope covers the following:
• Read & understand drawing & bar bending schedule
• Cut and bend reinforcement steel as per BBS
• Instruct, place, fabricate and fix reinforcement for complex structures (Arches,
Domes and circular structures)
• Check and ensure quality of reinforcement work
