Make 2 units from each color group for a total of 8 units. Maintaining the unit orientation, lay H on a unit, right sides together. Mark a diagonal line on H from corner to cor- ner. Stitch 1 / 4" out from both sides of the line. Cut apart on the marked line. With the H on top, open out the top patch and press. Trim each block to 6 1 / 2"x6 1 / 2". Make 16 blocks. Refer to the pattern for Hopes & Dreams in QUILTMAKER Jan/Feb ’08 (No. 119) or quiltmaker.com/patterns to complete the quilt.
