In the Junior Open Divisions competition was tough. Well done to Emma and Emilia McNamara for taking both Gold medals in the Junior Female Open division! And to Brandon who took the Kata and Thomas who took out Kumite in an exciting display of prowess in the Junior Male Open division. In Senior Open Female, Kerryn White’s kata topped the day, while in Kumite Louiza Luxton proved too hard to beat. In Senior Male Opens, Chris Drummond’s Kata scored the best, and in Kumite Zach Forster took top honours. Overall a fantastic finish to the Qld combined tournament circuit. Thanks to all officials, admin staff and set up crews. Good luck to all Qld competitors who are travelling to Melbourne to compete in the 2015 Nationals. Looking forward to 1 more Regional Tournament in Qld on the 22 nd of November held at Belmont State School in Region 29. Regards, Sensei Gary Luxton Senior Tournament Director
