1.0 Test Summary :

A total of 3 set U228 Head Lamp were subjected to low temperature operation test. Functional and visual light up test was done before and after test.

2.0 Test Objective:

The tests were done to verify that the component operates properly at low temperatures encountered during vehicle cold weather operation.

3.0 Test Specification:

6.0 Test Setup and Procedures

1) Wear antistatic glove & wrist strap and check with the ESD meter before handling the units.

2) Verify all the test samples are passed function and visual check (13.5V, 23C) before proceed.

3) Ensure all the test samples are properly secure in the chamber by holder jig.

4) Ensure all the test samples are properly connected to the correct wire harness.

5) Set and run the chamber temperature profile according to each test item requirement as shown in Table 1.

6) Power up the test samples according to test requirement and check with the oscilloscope to ensure the on/off timing is correct as shown in Table 1.

7) Verify all the test samples are passed function and visual check (13.5V, 23C) after the duration according to Table 1 above.
