About IPC Media
IPC Media produces over 60 iconic media brands, with print alone reaching almost two thirds of UK women and 42% of UK men – almost 26 million UK adults – while our websites collectively reach
over 20 million users every month.IPC's diverse print and digital portfolio offers something for everyone, with a focus on three core audiences: men, mass market women and
upmarket women.
The kind of media institution, which might distribute my media product, is IPC media. They currently
distribute magazines such as NME and Marie Claire. They distribute NME music magazine, which is a
magazine similar to mine.
Distribution
Distribution is where my magazine will be bought from. Because it is a music magazine, it will be sold in all music stores like HMV, but I will also sell it in alternative record shops, because it is a magazine from quite quirky people who like different music, who are likely to buy the music from various record shops. It will also be sold in usual
distributers, for example super markets like ASDA, Tesco, M&S etc. I will also distribute it in newsagents and places like WHSmiths.
I also thought to sell it at gigs in places like the 02 academy because this is where more quirky artists perform which will attract my
genre of target audience. The last place I want to sell my magazine is the shop Urban Outfitters because it is a shop for quirky and
different individuals. Different musical related products are sold in UO also so I think my magazine would do well being sold here.
ConclusionI believe IPC Media would distribute my magazine because it has distributed many musical magazines like mine worldwide.
