•It not that you may not experience anger…the sin is in nursing a grudge against anyone (spouse or others)•Don’t hold on to anger overnight – get it over quickly!•NB: When you are angry, you are nursing the devil’s counsel!

•Let the resolution start with you!•It is your responsibility to put away (get rid of) anger…don’t wait for your spouse!

•Be tenderhearted not hard-headed!•Be forgiving…you’ve done worse to God and others, and you were forgiven!

Dealing with anger… 1. Confront the situation quickly• Eph. 4:26B - Don’t let the sun go down with you still

angry—get over it quickly2. Begin every confrontation with affirmation• The way you start a conversation dictates its end!•Prov. 15:1 - A soft answer turns away wrath, But a

harsh word stirs up anger.•Prov. 16:24 - Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,

Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.

Dealing with anger… 3. Communicate your thoughts and feelings without

pre-judgments•Don’t interpret others’ actions, you’re not in their mind!

4. Be specific about your concerns/hurts/complaints•What are examples of specific complaints?•What are examples of global complaints?•What is the difference?

5. Be cautious of your tone of voice when confronting anger/negative situations!
