1. Attachments to InMails This feature enables users of LinkedIn Recruiter to attach files as part of their messaging. This would include both outbound (sent by the recruiter to a prospect) and inbound (sent by the prospect to the recruiter).
What value does this feature bring to the customer?
1. Recruiters can send job description and other job opening/company/marketing-‐related materials from LinkedIn Recruiter via InMails or emails.
2. Prospects can respond to recruiters and attach resumes and other files (relating to their professional portfolio) via InMail or Email.
3. Recruiters can view these files from within LinkedIn Recruiter (without leaving the Recruiter platform), save resumes/documents to the candidate file and build a complete profile of the prospect within LinkedIn Recruiter.
4. This enhancement allows recruiter to manage the candidate relationship and maintain the history of the conversation within the Recruiter platform.
What file formats are supported?
The following file formats including doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, pdf, txt, rtf, odf, html are supported
What is the maximum attachment capacity allowed?
Users may attach up to 5 separate files per message. Total file size should be less than 2 MB.
What pain point does this address?
Previously, if a Recruiter user wanted to send an attachment, such as a job description, they had to switch to email. But then the full history of conversation was lost or split between emails and InMails. With this enhancement the conversation flow is maintained within Recruiter.
Who is feature available for?
This feature is available to all Recruiter Corporate and RPS2 customers
For more information on these enhancements, please contact your Relationship Manager or Linked Support at [email protected]

2. Custom Fields Recruiter/Pipeline customers can now create custom fields of different types for capturing unique notes on a candidate.
What value does this feature offer you?
With these extra definable fields, talent acquisition teams can set unique identifiers required to meet the needs of your specific organization. These fields will be viewable only to you and your team and can provide deep insights on a candidate that can be shared within your organization.
What are some specific use cases?
Use cases include:
• organizations looking to record specific start dates for openings or desired salary ranges sought by a prospect or a candidate’s willingness to relocate (all with drop down options);
• organizations looking to note which profiles have what levels of security clearance
• companies that have stringent requirements on the work authorization status of their candidates can create alphanumeric information with drop down option (e.g. work authorization – H1B, F1, Intern, contractor etc.)
What additional value do these fields offer that I cannot capture with Tags?
Tags are restricted to 13 per profile. Custom fields, however, lets you be more granular and scalable. For e.g. it is hard to capture all the languages that a profile may speak or have a tag for GPA of a candidate. With custom fields you can capture that granular information for each target profile
Will these be searchable fields?
At launch, these fields will be viewable in profiles of the candidates (and be available as keyword search on facets at a later time).
What types (formats) of fields are supported?
A maximum of 10 types of fields will be supported for each dashboard. These fields could be:
Free text: Users can enter free text in this field to a specified maximum number of characters.
For more information on these enhancements, please contact your Relationship Manager or Linked Support at [email protected]
6
List of values: This is an enumerated list of values field. Admins specify a finite set of values for this field. Users can choose none or one of these values to set the field initially, or update it later.
Number: This is a numbers field. Entries can only be integers or Date: Supports a date.
Who is feature available for?
This feature is available to all Recruiter Corporate and RPS2 customers

The flag and the number on the icon shows how many new notifications have been received since the last time it was viewed by the user

1. Users can get a quick glimpse of all their priority alerts from anywhere in the product by clicking on the notifications icon on the navigation bar.
2. The flag and the number (in red) will ensure that key alerts are not missed by the user
What pain point does this address?
Previously, it was possible, even for an active user, to overlook important alerts such as Hiring Manager reviews or new applicants to a job posting. With this feature now on the navigation bar that follows the user, the alerts are hard to miss.
Who is feature available for?
This feature is available to all Recruiter Corporate and RPS2 customers
For more information on these enhancements, please contact your Relationship Manager or Linked Support at [email protected]

4. Smart To-‐Do List Smart to-‐do feature is designed to help improve your workflow efficiency by allowing you to create to-‐do items that connect with a profile, project or job, just by using the ‘@’ symbol. Any unchecked to-‐dos will remain at the top of the list until completed.
Profile Reminders you previously set in Recruiter will move directly into your Smart-‐To-‐Do list (on the dates they were previously associated with on the LinkedIn Recruiter calendar).
Things to note
• Smart To—Do List is available on the navigation bar next to the Notifications icon • Linking a prospect with @ will link to their profile and show their image (if pictures in recruiter
are activated) • Items will stay until checked off or dismissed • Items will flow into the following day if not checked off or dismissed the previous day • Newly entered items would be entered after the last to do item • User can drag and drop items to reorder list • The project name would link to the project. • The job would link to that job's posting page.
How do I create a List?
• To create a task start typing in the “What do you need to do?” space • To create a new to do item simply hit RETURN. • The maximum size of a task is 3 lines (125 characters)

5. People You May want to Hire (PYMH) People You May want to Hire (PYMH) is a feature in Recruiter where the tool suggests profiles of candidates that may be of interest to you based on your past search activity within Recruiter. What are PYMH suggestions based on?
• Prior search facet usage • Prior InMails sent (those accepted and Similar Profiles to those) • Job requisition details • Company and Company brand • Recent hires made at your company (and Similar Profiles to those) • Jobs that you or recruiters on your account have posted • Prospect’s propensity to seek a new job • Prospect’s company follower facet, page views, interests, work experience and school
What pain point does this address?
Previously, Recruiter users weren’t sure if their searches were comprehensive enough to uncover all potential candidates for an open role or a specific search. This new feature helps recruiters focus their time and energy on engaging candidates in more meaningful ways, increasing the likelihood of great hires.
What action is needed from me to make this feature more useful for me?
This feature has elements of machine learning associated with it. Hence the more you use Recruiter, the smarter the algorithm gets about identifying and presenting the right leads to you.
Who is feature available for?
This feature is available to all Recruiter Corporate customers
For more information on these enhancements, please contact your Relationship Manager or Linked Support at [email protected]

6. Inside Opinion The Inside Opinion feature identifies coworkers at your company who may know a candidate based on shared experience or education. With this feature, users can request feedback from a colleague if a prospect they are exploring is a good fit.
What value does it deliver to customers?
Recruiter customers have expressed a strong interest (78% ranked it very useful or extremely useful in a recent survey) in “backdoor references” on prospective candidates; Customers today reach out to their colleagues in an informal manner to request an opinion on a prospect. This enhancement streamlines that process from within Recruiter.
What pain point does this address?
Previously, recruiters who were evaluating the potential fit of a candidate did not have any avenue to “whet” the prospect prior to the interview process. By providing this “connection graph” recruiters now have an opportunity to reach out to their colleagues to get an “inside opinion” on the prospect. This saves time and money (by ensuring cycles are not spent on pursuing candidates who may not be a good fit) and improving the quality of hires (by targeting those who would be a good fit).
What action is needed to enable this feature?
To be able to use the Inside Opinion facet, your administrator on the LinkedIn Recruiter contract needs to activate this feature. Once activated, all users on the contract can use this valuable feature.
What Controls do Admins have?
Admins can access the Contract Settings page and manage the usage (or non-‐usage) of Inside Opinion within their organization by enabling (or disabling) the appropriate functions as shown below. Admins can turn off the messaging option or the entire Inside Opinion feature if they so desire.
What is the Inside Opinion referrer suggestion based on?
The algorithm leveraged to propose the references is based on the following logic: a. Those who currently work at Recruiter seat holder’s company
And overlapped with the candidate at 1+ prior companies or schools And are 1st or 2nd connections of the candidate
For more information on these enhancements, please contact your Relationship Manager or Linked Support at [email protected]
14
b. Sorted by
Number of overlaps, length of overlap Number of common connections between referrer and candidate Common functions, occupations Connection strength between recruiter and coworker
Is the message from the Recruiter to the reference editable?
The template message mentions the overlap (either in education or previous work experience) between the candidate and reference. This is editable by the requestor.
Who is feature available for?
Recruiter Corporate customers and Pipeline Seat customers will now be able to request an opinion on a potential candidate from a colleague/co-‐worker within the customer’s organization
For more information on these enhancements, please contact your Relationship Manager or Linked Support at [email protected]

7. InMail Analytics The reporting on the analytics of InMails has been enhanced. From the reports tab in LinkedIn Recruiter you can now get more detailed insights on InMail responses at both the seat and contract levels. Key Features include:
• Response analytics: Details on response rates and decline rates
• Demographic analytics: Demographic details on the respondents/decliners such as the companies they are with and years at their current position
• Personalization analytics: Details on the respondents/decliners such as groups in common with the sender and templates used in the message
What value does it deliver?
Recruiter users have been eager to know the profiles of recipients who are receptive (and non-‐receptive) to their InMails to be more efficient in targeting prospects. To address this need, the product team has built this analytics engine whereby a user can view InMail acceptance rates, the demographics of those you accept and understand which of the templates have the best InMail acceptance rates.
What pain point does this address?
Previously, recruiters were unsure what was a successful template when reaching out or predict which kind of passive candidate was likely to respond. This resulted in users sending a lot of InMails and receiving a low response rates from prospects. By providing deeper insights into most likely responders, Recruiter users can be more surgical in their reach out to prospects, yielding higher response rates and better member experience.
Who is feature available for?
Recruiter Corporate customers and RPS2 customers have InMail analytics available on their contracts.

8. Update Me “Update Me” is a facet within Recruiter that allows Recruiter users to be informed about public profile changes that an interesting prospect makes.
What value does this feature bring to the customer?
“Update Me” functionality lets users receive automated updated to any changes made to the public profile of a candidate they are tracking. This keeps the recruiters apprised of a lead’s activity and career progress that could help the recruiter turn a cold lead into a warm prospect.
What pain point does this address?
Historically, keeping tabs on a prospect that’s not ready to make a job switch has been a challenge. With the Update Me feature, a recruiter user can get some insights about a candidate’s propensity to make a move by being updated on any public profile changes that the candidate makes.
Who is feature available for?
Recruiter Corporate customers and RPS2 customers have Update Me feature available to them.
How many profiles can I get updates on?
You can get updates on up to 150 profiles.
Are there any privacy concerns around the “Update Me” feature?
The updates made to an individual’s public profile are done by the individuals themselves and are public information. LinkedIn is just presenting this to Recruiter customers in a consumable form.
What is considered a profile update?
Profile Updates for Update Me includes changes made by the member to the following attributes:
• Industry • Headline • Experience • Education • Summary

9. Attachments to Profiles and Projects
Latest enhancement to Recruiter allows users (who have Talent Pipeline activated) to attach files (for e.g. documents, links) to profiles and projects. What value does this feature bring to the customer? • Recruiter users can store, view and manage their candidates’ portfolio of files, links and resumes
from within Recruiter • Users can also attach links (such as a job link) or a file (such as job description or a screening
document pertaining to a job opening) to a project • Allows Recruiter users to get a richer profile of the candidates who send samples of their previous
work in the form of images or docs; • Attachments to projects allows the users to stay organized while retaining all information related
to a project in a single location
What pain point does this address?
Recruiter users have expressed a need to be able to store files to profiles (beyond resumes) and the ability to add files/links (such as job description) to projects. This enhancement addresses those needs. This will enable users to add context to a profile or a project by incorporating relevant links and documents.
What file formats are supported?
Following file formats are supported: doc, docx, pdf, image files, zip files
What is the maximum attachment capacity allowed for profile attachment?
Users may attach upto 10 files per prospect record, excluding resumes and links. Each file can be up to 2 MB in size.
What is the maximum attachment capacity allowed for project attachment?
Users may attach upto 10 files per project. Each file can be up to 2 MB in size.
How do profile attachment differ from project attachments?
• For a profile a User can add a link or a file in addition to a resume • A file as part of a profile is different from a resume in that it will not be indexed for search, and
will not show up in the document viewer. It will be shown in additional info as a link to download.
