Scots Irish Tour 2019 10/14/18 1 Q: What Famous Siege Involved the Scots Irish? A: The Siege of Derry [Londonderry] in 1689 The Journey of the Scots Irish July 8-19, 2019 • 12 days • $5,765 Hope Vere Heritage Tours Guided by Hope Vere Anderson, Baron of Bannockburn “Like a Personal VisitPlease Note that there is a certain spontaneity and fluidity to these tours. Although we adhere to the itinerary in the main, because of Hope Vere’s contacts and personal knowledge, changes may and often do occur. These will always be interesting and delightful. It’s what makes these tours like “A Personal Visit.” Hotels July 8: Overnight flight to Edinburgh July 9-10: Edinburgh: Premier Inn, Royal Mile, 33 East Market, Old Town, Edinburgh July 11-13: Dumfries, The Borders: tbd July 14-18: Belfast, Holiday Inn, City Centre July 19: Flight out of Belfast Air Travel: Please note that this tour begins in Edinburgh and ends in Belfast, so your flights must be booked accordingly. Personally Escorted by Hope Vere. As with all of Hope Vere Heritage Tours, Hope Vere will personally escort the group, making sure that every special need is met and catered to. Itineraries are subject to change according to “conditions on the ground” and opportunities that may arise. Guided by Hope Vere Anderson, these are truly like private visits. Meals: All breakfasts are included. Lunches are on our own. For lunch we will often just stop and purchase snacks or sandwiches from a local place and eat there quickly or “on-the-go.” This gives us more time for touring. Most dinners are on our own. For dinner we will usually stop at a nice hotel restaurant or pub and take our time reliving the day’s events. Dinners: We provide a Welcome Dinner either the day we arrive or the day after, then an early Farewell Dinner in Limerick the night before we leave for the airport in Shannon. *See the last page of this itinerary for payment details.
