Some  examples  of  texts  which  could  be  written  using  the  pyramids:    Level  1

1. There  is  an  egg.  2. A  caterpillar  comes  out  of  the  egg.  3. The  caterpillar  is  in  a  house.  4. The  caterpillar  is  a  butterfly.

 Level  2

1. First,  there  is  an  egg.    2. Then,  a  small  caterpillar  comes  out  of  the  egg.  He  eats  a  lot  for  one  week  and  then

he  is  a  big  caterpillar.  3. Next,  he  makes  a  house.  It  is  a  cocoon.  He  is  in  the  cocoon  for  2  weeks.  4. Finally,    he  comes  out  of  the  cocoon  and  now  he  is  a  butterfly.

 Level  3

1. First,  there  is  a  little  egg.  2. Second,  a  very  hungry,  tiny  caterpillar  hatches  the  egg.  Then,  he  eats  a  lot  of  food

through  one  week  and  so/in  order  to  become  (s)  a  big  fat  caterpillar.  3. After  that,  the  big  caterpillar  builds  a  house  called  cocoon  where  he  stays  for  two

weeks.  4. Finally,  the  caterpillar  becomes  a  beautiful  butterfly,  nibbles  a  hole  to  get  through

and  comes  out  of  the  cocoon.
