WEEKLY UPDATES Happy Friday Everyone! As the world watches the 2012 Summer Olympics, we are reminded to reach for Gold in every area in our lives and never give up on achieving our dreams. Here are PYL’s weekly updates, as we reach for GOLD: SUBBRANCH PROGRESS: • July 30th the National Executive Board travelled to the East for PYL Yamacraw Elections. PYL would like to thank all of the outgoing officers of Yamacraw for their hard work and dedication to PYL during their tenure. PYL’S NATIONWIDE BOOK DRIVE: PYL is dedicated to supporting the initiatives of the PLP Government as it relates to the improvement of the national literacy rate and quality of education. On August 1 st PYL launched its nationwide book drive and will be collecting books until August 25 th that are in good condition at all constituency offices nationwide, at the Sir Lynden Pindling Center (New Providence) and PLP House (Grand Bahama). These books will then be distributed throughout the Urban Renewal Centers as we launch our ‘Each One Teach One’ Tutoring Session Program.
