Teacher Voice

It has been a great two years in which I learned many new things. I regret that I often do not have the time to implement many changes because of lack of planning time.

Danelle

This is the best PD group that I have ever been a part of.

Teacher VoiceIt was fun to try some of the new web based technology and devices, and for students to be able to use it to demonstrate their learning. We didn't have to reinvent the wheel and could learn from other's successes and failures.

Teacher VoiceI LOVE our group!! We are not a homogeneous group by any means: we teach multiple levels, all disciplines, in both urban and rural settings. We are funny, intelligent, caring teachers who are committed to learning for our students and for ourselves - proof that learning is lifelong. The environment in our C of P is that which we strive for in our classrooms. Anytime spent with this group talking, discovering, experimenting, sharing, consulting, collaborating, and celebrating will only benefit our students in the best ways. Long live our Community of Practice!!

Teacher VoiceI have changed my teaching practice: I try to add technology when and where I can, not only at school, also in my own life outside of school - before I would do anything to not use technology and now I feel something is missing if I am not using it - The fear of the unknown is gone and I am trying to share that with my students, technology does not always work the way we want and there will be glitches and that is okay.
