Lifting points with special length – how to calculate the length for order
To calculate the necessary thread length (L):L = H + S + K + X
H = Material heightS = Thickness of the washerK = Height of the nut (depending on the thread size of the screw)X = Excess length of the screw (twofold pitch of the screw)L max. = n max. (see catalogue)
This info sheet is for pewag winner lifting points with special length, which are mounted in a through hole and are fixed by means of a washer and a nut. Washer and nut (crack tested) are included in the package, when a pewag winner lifting point with special length is ordered. This parts can also be ordered as spare parts (Order code “PLMS” in chapter “spare parts”).
H = material height
This is the height at the position, where the lifting point will be screwed in.
S = Thickness of washerK = Height of nutX = 2 x Pitch of thread
This dimensions can be found at the end of the catalogue in the section “spare parts”:Look for the thread you need and find the dimensions in column „h“ and „h1“

Manual Lifting points with special length – how to calculate the length for order
This dimensions can be found at the beginning of the cata-logue in the section “Overview”:Look for the thread you need and find the dimensions in column„Thread“. The pitch is the value after “x” (e.g. M 20 x 2,5 ° pitch = 2,5)
L = Length to orderTo calculate the necessary thread length (L):
L = H + S + K + X
H = Material heightS = Thickness of the washerK = Height of the nut (depending on the thread size of the screw)X = Excess length of the screw (twofold pitch of the screw)L max. = n max.
Now you have all the data you need to calculate the length to order:
e.g. Material thickness = 100 mm; Chosen lifting point = PLBW 2,5 t (M20 ) H = 100 mm S = 4 mm („h1“ for size M20 from chapter „spare parts“) K = 20 mm („h“ for size M20 from chapter „spare parts“) X = 2,5 mm x 2 =5 mm (twofold pitch „2,5“ for size M20 from chapter „overview“) L = H + S + K + X = 100 + 4 + 20 + 5 = 129 mm
Round to nearest dimension (in steps of 5 mm) and you have your order length: PLBW 2,5 t M20x130 special length
Attention: Max. deliverable thread length can be seen in catalogue under column „n max“ for the required lifting point.
