Our History Pulsar’s roots began way back in 1966, when founder Paul Mardon

built his first Sound to Light machine using valves and relays before

studying Engineering and Management at Cambridge University.

In 1970 Pulsar Ltd was born with just a handful of staff, today Pulsar

has become a market leader, employing one hundred personnel all

committed to working together to further develop Pulsar as a world

renowned manufacturer of high-technology lighting equipment.

New Technologies Throughout our history Pulsar has always embraced the latest

developments in technology, and today is no exception. Recent

developments in energy efficient high-power LED devices have been

harnessed by Pulsar to provide our customers with a substantial

range of LED lighting products that are suitable for entertainment

and architecture. As technology advances, you can be sure that

Pulsar will continue to develop state-of-the-art lighting and control

solutions. The latest TriColour LED technology is now available

in many of our ChromaRange fixtures. This technology eliminates

multi-coloured shadows and generates eye-pleasing colour mixed

directly from within the fixture.

Advanced Production Our Cambridge UK factory translates the efforts of the research

and development department into lighting control systems and

products. Pulsar employs advanced production technology to

manufacture units which are shipped to our network of distributors

all over the world.

Pulsar products go through rigorous test procedures, which ensure

they conform to the internationally recognised standards they are

designed to meet. Once delivered to the client, Pulsar products have

a long and trouble-free life.

The infinite colour palette ranging from pretty pastels to deep

intense hues makes these products ideal for entertainment,

architectural and retail applications.

TRICOLOUR TECHNOLOGY The latest TriColour Technology is now available on many

ChromaRange models. TriColour Technology eliminates

multi-coloured shadows and colour mixes within the fixture.

TRICOLOUR TECHNOLOGY

CHROMARANGE FEATURES ChromaRange fixtures utilise specially selected high-efficiency

LEDs, comprised of a mixture of Red, Green and Blue types to allow

endless RGB colour mixing – making 16.7 million colours possible

Other LED combinations are also available for specialist applications

such as Variable White (VW) and RGB+VW for ultimate flexibility.

Pulsar's advanced electronic design and thermal management

techniques mean that the high quality LEDs in ChromaRange

fixtures have an expected life of 25,000 hours at continuous full

power white, which increases to 100,000 hours when the fixture is

dimmed or producing coloured light as in normal use.

The fixtures are exceptionally robust, durable and very cost effective

– making them easy to install, run and maintain. There is no lamp to

change and heat output is minimal.

Pulsar’s totally flicker-free electronics produce a continuous, smooth,

soothing light. We do not compromise on this and don’t use Pulse

Width Modulation (PWM) in any of our LED fixtures. PWM, by it's very

nature, strobes the LEDs at high frequency, which can produce a

stressful, agitating light. Relax with Pulsar Light!

Many products have a selection of lenses and/or different beam

shapes to suit your needs.

CUSTOM CHROMARANGE The ChromaRange is available in custom LED configurations to

meet your specification. For minimum orders of 12 pieces we can

populate the LED colours of your choice into our products. Typical

manufacturing time for such orders is 4 weeks from confirmed order.

LED POPULATION OPTIONS TriColour, devices that each contain 3 LEDs (R+G+B), these models

eliminate multi-coloured shadows and are ideal for entertainment.

RGB, individual Red, Green and Blue LEDs, ideal for distance illumination.

Variable White (VW), cool white LEDs and a "warming" LED cluster that

allows for the creation of cool through warm white at high output levels.

RGB+VW, provides the perfect combination of LED colours to provide

softer colour combinations such as pastels and skin tones.

suitable for outdoor and indoor use. When used indoors the

weather proofing serves to eliminate the ingress of dirt and

allows for easy cleaning.

The ChromaFlood 200/100 fixtures are powered directly

from mains power and have full remote control of LED

levels to provide smooth flicker-free control of their endless

colour calibrated palette.

For ease of configuration, a backlit LCD UIM (User Interface

Module) provides access to all functions and settings. Internal

sequences provide the facility of operation of the fixtures without

the need for a separate control system.

ChromaFlood 100 units are available in round or square enclosures.

CHROMABaNK IP

The ChromaBankIP contains rectangular ChromaHearts, each can

be controlled individually or via the extensive dual internal Chase

Generators. The ChromaBank is also compatible with "video DMX"

systems allowing the display of complex graphics and effects from a

flicker-free, colour calibrated LED based fixture.

ChromaBankIP is ideal for TV, Theatre and Stage applications

providing incredible illumination and flexibility from an LED based

fixture. The colour wash effect is flawless on sets and cycs, and very

effective when installed beneath glass floors or walls. It is also highly

impressive when hung from trusses, allowing numerous chasing

effects to be produced. ChromaBankIP is also available in a half size

version which contains 6 ChromaHearts.

For ease of configuration a backlit UIM (User Interface Module)

Three 19” rack mounting ChromaZoneRMs are now available. The

compact 2U devices also feature a LCD menu driven user interface.

The RMX3 models provide three times the power to drive the new

series of X3 products, such as 12 ChromaBatten50s.

Outstation OS1 is a compact 12 button, 60 Channel, 60 Scene and

12 Chase DMX programmable control desk. Ideal as an architectural

CHROMAINGROUND 50 TC TRICOLOUR TECHNOLOGY

The compact and powerful ChromaInGround 50 TriColour features

the latest in TriColour LED Technology. The ChromaInGround 50 TC is

packed with 15 TriColour devices that each contain 3 LEDs, one each

of Red, Green and Blue. TriColour Technology eliminates multi-coloured

shadows and generates colour mixing directly from within the fixture.

The ChromaInGround 50 TC is IP 65 rated and is fabricated from 316

marine grade brushed stainless steel or anodised aluminium with a

10mm (0.4”) toughened glass allowing it to be walked or driven over.

The ChromaInGround 50 TC is available in five beam angles and also

features the ability to angle the light beam +/- 10% for perfect beam

alignment.

When the design demands the creation of colour changing in

underwater or wet conditions, the Pulsar ChromaScape is the ideal

solution. The ChromaScape is a compact waterproof LED luminaire

with adjustable mounting bracket that can be immersed up to 2

metres in water. It is available in 2 colour options for fresh water or

a special stainless steel version allows for use in salt or chlorinated

water.

ChromaHearts allow Pulsar LED technologies to be integrated into

bespoke and OEM applications. Four large models are available,

aR111/PaR36, Standard, and Low Profile in addition to MR16 sizes.

Chroma aR111 TriColour utilises the latest LED technology to

eliminate colour shadows and provides colour mix from within the

fixture. 5 Beam angle are available, an optional bracket with matched

styling allows the aR111 TC to be used as a surface mounted fixture.

powered directly from 12V aC or DC such as common 12V down

lighter transformers or even vehicle battery supplies. Standard 12V

transformers and dimmer packs can be used to power and dim

these products.

The ChromaStrips are available in 300, 600, 900 and 1200 lengths,

each are capable of 20˚ or 90˚ beam angles by inverting the circuit

board. CS12V are made to order in single LED colours of your

specified choice. ChromaStrip 12V are waterproof and are designed

for concealed lighting and to highlight architectural features such as

windows, doorways, coving or building structure outlines.
