PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 18 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to 1948. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.
We are searching for articles information concerning distance education for nursing students.

PubMed can be as easy to use as any search engine. See the PubMed.gov site for a more in-depth tutorial of PubMed’s other powerful features.

The results list provides over 4,000 hits.
Choosing the Limits tab provides one means of reducing this list to a manageable and relevant selection.

We can limit results to nursing journals and the English language.
The limiters reduce the number of results on our list to reflect the articles from nursing journals.

Once selected an abstract of the article appears.
To the right of the abstract related articles are suggested. Some of these are links to full-text available through the Internet or PubMed Central.

If you choose to look at the article information an additional link is available on the citation page, linking to the full-text article.
Selecting the link will display the article available in PubMed Central.

When full-text is not available check the Library’s A to Z Journal List on the website. The Library may own the journal in paper or in electronic format.
Can’t find the article in the Library or Online then use Inter-library Loan. A form is available on the Library’s website.

The Librarians can help you request the article through FirstSearch, Rapid ILL or Docline. Be sure to have the journal title, article title and
the author’s name. Any other information is useful, but these are the basics that the Library needs to request an article.

PubMed is an excellent resource for finding articles in medicine, nursing, health and the full range of biosciences. It is a very complex and extensive resource.
