Updates from CDC’s Office of Public Health Research

• FOA for “Improving Public Health Practice through Translation Research (R18)”– $10M– 300 LOIs, over 200 applications– Funding for approximately 28 grants– Review process underway with awards made by

September 2007– Announcement to the public in Fall 2007

• FY2008 – potential for similar FOA (translational research) with different focus (e.g. disparities)
