• We have made great strides but still have a long way to go to organize and close the loop..

• Where we have been:– 4 units (departments) – Most units have had their own list of outcomes• Even specific outcomes at the option level

– Some units have professional programs with accreditation

– Wide variety of rich assessment techniques used to assess learning

• As a college we now are responsible to a single accrediting agency & the University & several other program accreditation agencies .

Concluding Thoughts

• Assessment only as good as we are in using the information.

• Need systems in place that cover as much as the landscape as possible

• Learning Objectives (at the course level) need to map to competencies

• Fresh look at Learning Objectives at course level may be helpful in curricular streamlining.
