Since our last edition, we have launched PtSA in the Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth area) and in KwaZulu-Natal (Prospecton area), and we have also held Networking Evenings in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Gauteng. We are reporting on some of these Events in this Newsletter. A number of companies have joined PtSA in the recent months and we have dedicated a section to welcome the new members in this, and future Newsletters. We hope that our readers will find this section informative and we encourage more of our readers to join the Association. In this regard we have included a section in the Newsletter which highlights what is offered by PtSA for your information. As part of our Networking and Matchmaking process, we are inviting all of our members to participate in all of the Networking Evenings, regardless of which region the Networking Evenings are taking place. This has resulted in members from Gauteng and the Western Cape attending the Networking Evenings in other regions, which is resulting in the Networking process being expanded. We encourage all of our members to consider these opportunities to network and matchmake across all regions. As part of our process to partner with various organisations and associations, we have partnered with the South African Furniture Initiative (SAFI) who gave presentations at the Western Cape and Gauteng Networking Evenings. These presentations highlighted opportunities for the production technologies industry to supply manufacturing systems, tooling and components to the furniture manufacturing industry. We are including an overview of these opportunities in this Newsletter and we hope that some of our members will participate in these opportunities. We are also reporting on the Future Production Technologies Convention taking place on the 24 th and 25 th April 2019 in Cape Town which will be hosted by PtSA. This Convention will be focusing on the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and how this will impact on the production technologies industry on an international basis, and particularly in South Africa. We encourage you to diarise this event. Our recent Networking Evening held in Port Elizabeth was sponsored by RGC Engineering, and our upcoming Networking Evenings to be held in Gauteng and the Western Cape will be sponsored by Retecon and RGC Engineering respectively. We thank the teams at RGC Engineering and Retecon for their support. Below please find the logo’s of our sponsors for the Networking and Launch Evenings for 2018. We thank all these sponsors for their support. We would like to take this opportunity to wish everybody a blessed festive season and thank you for your support over the past year.
