SLHD Education and Training Forum 2018 Program

Dear Forum participant,

On behalf of the Centre for Education Workforce Development we would like to welcome you to the 2018 Education and Training Forum for Sydney Local Health District.

This occasion also marks the “official” launch of the SLHD Education Support Portal, an online collaboration space that will be dedicated to assisting all involved in the education and development of our workforce.

Today also marks the launch of a new scholarship program for permanent employees of Sydney Local Health District. Successful applicants will be supported to develop their education and project management skills through the completion of an education project that will have broad applicability across the district. CEWD funding up to the value of $20,000 will be provided to ensure back fill of the applicant’s position one day per week for a period of six months to enable completion of their project.

This scholarship program is the first of its kind and is a part of our commitment to, and investment in, our workforce.

We hope that the Forum is a valuable experience and that during the social events you will meet old friends, new colleagues and network with like-minded academics from across the district and beyond, all of whom are dedicated to excellence in the learning and development of our health workforce.

The Organising Committee.

It’s your career, your opportunities and your development
