Passing and Reaction 4Organisation

Cones are used to mark players's positions. Three players are identified with different colors in the middle. Players in positions A and B are the servers and they stay in postition. Two players (C+C) in the same color as the servers are placed between the cones as shown.Players change positions and roles periodically. The distances of the cones have to be adequate to the given age-group.

Set Up

One of the server players (A) makes a one-two pass with all players. On the other side Player B and both Players C perform one touch passes in a triangle. When Player A performs a long pass between the middle players to the other sided server (B) and calls a color while the ball is moving to the other side.

Players inside turn and move towards the other sided server. After the long pass Player B plays the ball to Player C who dribbles to the other side and makes a wall pass with his partner (other C) to play our the player running towards them.

The command of Player A determines which inside player gets the ball from the server (B) at first. Then server (B) has to play all the other inside players. The two player C's perform one touch passes with Player A until Player B passes the ball back to player A and calls a color. Inside players turn into the direction of player A and move towards the server. Progression is the same.

Transverse Passing and Combinations - Filling Up Empty SpaceOrganisation

Three players are involved in this soccer passing drill. Each group of three works to one direction and after reaching the end of the playing area they turn and perform the exercise to the other direction.

Description

'B' lays the ball back in angle (4) and turns around his cone to get the ball back (5) from 'A'. 'C' steps for the ball in the right rhythm because he must receive 'B's ball (6) in front of the stick to spin (7) to the other direction. After rolling with the ball 'C' towards it (8) to 'D' and performs a one-two (9-10) with him. 'D' plays the ball (11) to 'E' who lays the ball back in angle (12) and turns around his cone to get the ball back (13) from 'D'. During these combinations 'B' take his position in the middle of the area then moves toward 'E' to ask for the ball.

'E' passes the ball (14) to 'B' and jogs to the starting position. 'B' receives it in front of the stick to spin (15) to the other direction. After rolling with the ball 'B' towards it (16) to 'F' and the soccer passing drill continues the same way.

Foundation of Fluid Playing Style 2Organisation

Equipment and players are arranged as shown. Players change their positions continuously after their passes and take the place of the player who they have passed to. Perform the soccer passing exercise to both directions.

Description

This soccer passing drill offers several variations of combinations to innervate the continuous movements and changes of players. After performing the variations encourage players to play the free chosen combinations as they want.

Set Up

Foundation of Fluid Playing Style 1: This progression focuses on harmonization of receiving the ball and opening the deep passing channels by the receiving and dribbling.

Progression begins from P1. P3 approaches to ask for the ball and turns out performing a deep run into space. Players ask the ball approaching from P2 and P5 lays the ball back to P1 and P4 so they are able to pass it into deep in an open passing channel between the sticks or mannequins. When P1 and P4 are not able to pass the ball directly after the lay back, they have to receive or dribble the ball to search the open passing channel and pass the ball with the best pace to front of P3 or P6.

In P3 and P6 positions the movements are the same. These players have to try to find the best rhythm of run to receive the ball in an open passing channel. P1 and P2 - P4 and P5 cooperate in the same way as well but the lay back of the ball is performed behind the movements of the approaching players as shown. P2 and P5 come closer to ask for the first deep pass (2, 8) and run towards to open the passing channels.

P3 and P6 approach, ask for the ball and prepare their overlapping movements with a combination with P1 and P4. After that the soccer passing exercise continues in the same way with the combination of the former variation.

Preparing and deep passing after a lay down of the incoming players.
