Many of these resources are focused on lead- ership, spirituality, and education. From the Being Reformed series there are resources on being a deacon and a ruling elder. There is also a good confirmation resource called Professing Our Faith. There are several Advent resources from books with daily readings and devotions to studies for the season. Finally, there are several resources on faith and politics. These resources have their roots in Reformed Theology and help us to better understand what it means to be Presbyterian in the 21st century. Whether you have been to the PC(USA) store or not, I encourage you to stop by and see what they have to offer. You may be surprised at the variety of resources available. You are invited to join First Presbyterian Church of Joplin for our annual Fall Festival at ShoalKirk Camp on Sunday, October 23rd from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. There will be autumn themed games for children, a hayride through the woods, and a potluck dinner. The church will provide the hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks. This is a wonderful chance to enjoy the cooler weather and the fall colors with old and new friends. Everyone is welcome. ShoalKirk Camp is located at 9273 Otter Lane, Diamond, Mis-souri 64850.
