I. Group overview
1810 - The Peugeot company launches its metallurgy business
1890 - First petrol car manufactured by Peugeot
1919 - Launch of the Type A car, the first Citroën car
1945 – Launch of the Peugeot 403, the first Diesel version
1976 - The PSA Peugeot Citroën Group is created by the merger of Citroën S.A. and Peugeot S.A. Automobiles Peugeot and Automobiles Citroën become wholly-owned PSA Peugeot Citroën subsidiaries
1979 - Creation of Compagnie Générale de Crédit aux Particuliers (Crédipar)
1983 – Launch of the Peugeot 205 : versions GTi and Turbo 16 win the rallyes
1998 - Acquisition of Sevel Argentina by PSA Peugeot Citroën
1998 – ECIA completes a friendly acquisition of equipment manufacturer Bertrand Faure. The new company, named Faurecia, is more than 50% owned by PSA Peugeot Citroên.
The end of 90th – the 206 and the 307 become the commercial success of the Group
2000 - Diesel particulate-filter system unveilled and introduced.
2002 - Joint-venture DPCA created with Dongfeng Motors to expand cooperative production of Peugeot and Citroën models in China.
2011 – Launch of the 3008 Hybrid 4, the first Hybrid Diesel car
2011 – Creation of the Foundation PSA Peugeot Citroën
2011 – Signature of a joint-venture with China Changan Automobile Group in China
2012 - PSA Peugeot Citroën and General Motors create a long-term and broad-scale global strategic alliance
2012 – Launch of the full production in Kaluga (Russie)
2012 – Launch of the 208, 301, Citroën C Elysée, new RCZ
2013 – Launch of the 2008, of the new Citroën C4 Picasso
