What is the PeopleTools Upgrade?

• Foundation layer of PS Financials• Controls things like:– Security– Pages/Menus– Database table changes

• Like getting a new Windows version on your computer

Why is the Upgrade Necessary?

• Out of Vendor Support – Oracle• Better Compatibility with Internet Browser• Readiness to go to new Application version

When Will This Happen?

• Go-live on Monday, May 12, 2014

• PS FINANCIALS will be DOWN on Friday, May 9th

• Plan your purchases and downtime processing for this day

How Will My Account be Affected?

SAME:•Your userid & password•Your favorites•Your Run Controls•Your scheduled reports/queries•Your private queries•Navigation

DIFFERENT:•The URL to PS Financials – will need to update your Internet Browser favorites or Desktop Shortcuts•The name will be FPRD89U•The Menus and Breadcrumbs•Autocomplete functionality

What Does it Look Like?You will notice that the colors of the menu screens will be different; however, the menu looks the same upon initial login.

What Does it Look Like? – cont’dWhen you click on a menu item, like: Commitment Control, you will notice breadcrumbs that will appear under the Oracle name and the menu goes away, to leave the icon menu and sub-menus.

What Does it Look Like? – cont’dNote: now if I want to go back to the Main Menu, I can click on Main menu on the breadcrumbs, and it will bring up a drown-down menu:

What Does it Look Like? – cont’dNote: Your Favorites will still be listed under the Favorites, if you had saved any. Also, there is a new feature to list your most recent activities under the Favorites menu:

How to Turn Auto Complete Off – cont’dScroll to the bottom of the page and choose No from the drop-down menu by Autocomplete, and click on OK to save this setting.

How to Turn Auto Complete Off – cont’dYou will get a confirmation that your Personalizations have been saved. Then click on return to go back to the Personalizations menu. You can then click on Home on the Universal Navigation Bar at the top right.

Current Available PersonalizationYou may want to consider setting the “Tab over Lookup Button” personalization, if you have not already set it. This is available now in production.

Resetting PersonalizationsIf your personalizations seem to not be working correctly, then you can reset them to the system defaults, by click on the Restore Category Defaults OR Restore Defaults.

• Processing Issues– Will email a listing of contacts for each module

• Security Issues / Logging In– Email Tina Fletcher at [email protected]
