6 Description of the machineThe PROXXON BBS/S block belt Sanderis an ideal tool for building models, toolsand moulds but is also suitable for smallcar repair jobs, such as on the bodyworkfor example. The sanding belt is locatedflush on the left side to allow surfaces tobe sanded "right down to the corner". A fine adjustment for the rollers preventsrunning off on the side. Spring clampingsystem for easy replacement of beltswithout tool: The BBS/S can be used for de-burring,roughing, fine sanding, edging, paint-stripping, rust removal and sharpeningtools. For machining steel, non-ferrous metals, wood and plastics. Included with themachine are 2 x 5 grinding belts withdifferent grit sizes (120/240).

7 OperationThe belt Sander is easily guided over thesurface to be sanded with the right hand.Hold the BBS/S as shown in Fig. 2.Make sure you do not obstruct the cool-ing slots for the motor. Take care not toapply too much pressure when working. This causes the belt to wear quickly and, furthermore, will put excessive strain onthe mechanics.
