Provincial Recognition Award BUILDER of the YEAR AWARD Saskatchewan Rugby is proud to celebrate our success stories and issues Provincial Recognition Awards. One of these awards is an annual award entitled BUILDER of the YEAR AWARD. Nominations will be solicited through the Sask Rugby website with a downloadable nomination form or online submission. The following people are eligible to be considered for this recognition. • Any member of the rugby community that has shown exemplary service to their rugby club, team or union • The nominee cannot have been reimbursed for any or all of their time spent volunteering • Volunteers that were previously recognized with a Rugby Canada Certificate requested by their local club are still eligible for this award as well Nominees may be but are not limited to being registered with the Saskatchewan Rugby Union in the year of their nomination. This would allow parents of their child’s rugby team, spouses, etc. to be considered for nomination as well. Nominations for this award will be solicited through the Saskatchewan Rugby Union website and include: • Details about the nominated person’s contribution to the sport of rugby with a focus of attention upon their “recent” contribution. • Details of the outcomes that can be attributed to this person’s contribution. • Information on how this person’s contribution has assisted their community. Guidelines • The award recipient must agree to have his or her name and photograph publicized. He/she must be prepared to promote the award as requested. • All nominations must be accompanied by the names of two people who can report on the person’s ability to meet the selection criteria. • Nominations may come from any individual registered with the Saskatchewan Rugby Union, a club or sub-union of the Saskatchewan Rugby Union . Selection Criteria • Made a positive impact through their volunteer status to the sport of rugby, locally, provincially and/or nationally • Their contribution serves as a model to inspire others to contribute volunteer time to help improve the sport of rugby as well Volunteer Recognition Selection Committee The selection committee will consist of: 5 people
