asked him to donate his time and create us a logo,

Bringing Our Park Back to the People Friendship Park was getting weathered and was in need of
many repairs. We didn’t want the taxpayers to take on the entire
burden of the expense. The solution? Waterboro Rec formed a Park
Improvement Fund where many repairs are now being done with
funds raised from donations and sponsorships! (Over $12,000
raised so far!)
In the last few months we’ve begun completely remodeling the
older, larger Snack Shack so we can resume the sale of concessions
at our events! We’ve added service windows, a new roof, repaired
the walls, installed new plumbing, rewired for 200amp electrical
and more! A new spotlight was added to shine on our American
Flag and lights are being added to the bandstand.
At the little league field we’ve repainted the dugouts inside and
out, tended to the field itself and are turning the old, smaller Snack
Shack into storage for Shaker Valley Little League. However, it
wasn’t just the Rec Department making all this happen. We
worked cooperatively with our Department of Public Works, our
Maintenance Department, Normand Electric and our biggest
thanks to Dave Moreau, owner of ACH Plumbing and Heating
who donated his time to redo all the plumbing!
Our next big plans are to redo the playground area. Do you
want to help too? Buy tickets and T shirts for our Blues Fest,
purchase concessions at our new Shack Snack during our events or
just send in a donation of any amount!
Together, we can bring Friendship Park back to being the
family fun and athletic park it used to be… and more!

Andrew Schoenfeld
Well known to the New York and Connecticut blues
and jazz music scene as an organist and pianist, Andrew
has played with artists such as Benny Wallace, Mike
Longo and Chris Morrison. As a longtime associate of
Mike Longo, (Dizzy Gillespe’s lifetime keyboardist)
Andrew has now both produced, directed and
instructed on Mike's heralded video instructional series
“The Rhythmic Nature of Jazz".
Andrew has been instrumental in integrating the
sounds of Be-Bop and blues and has found a way to
bring fresh interpretations to the blues classics. Playing a
Hammond Organ out of a classic Leslie speaker along
with a vintage Fender Rhodes piano, Andrew has the
prototypical blues sound combined with a master’s
technique.

Nathan Michaud
Nathan Michaud is an instrumental guitarist and
composer on a quest to bring heartfelt music with
substance back to the masses. Inspired by many of the
great blues players, his music connects with listeners on
an emotional level almost border-lining on spiritual.
Over the years Nathan has developed his own unique
style of playing, derived from many different genres of
music, from Blues & Rock to Classical and Jazz, you just
never know what direction his next note may go and that
is what will keep you coming back for more!

Deej SG an d Bluzolog y
Deej (aka. Dave Lowe) has fronted several bands
throughout his lifetime and then spent over 15 years
playing drums before finally switching to lead guitar in
2010 at the age of 50. Deej has always had an
“artist/creative” streak which now has infused his unique
and emotional Blues style that developed completely
devoid of direct outside influences other than what was in
his head and his heart.
Deej also feels it is important to share his message,
particularly with the “older” crowd that “It’s NEVER too
late to do what you love!” His active guitarist presence on
Facebook and his guitar group “Massive Blind Jam
Project” are just some proof of the truth and importance of
this message!
