The research work addresses the project, -for later execution as a prototype- a new type of Mediterranean House. The Courtyard- House M^3 takes formal and constructive references pragmatics Mediterranean architecture ranging from a minimum -elemental modernity in volumes and construction- and beauty Vernacular architecture - relaxed and sustainable genetically- On one side is result of some cheap materials and simple construction system, and on the other, , as it seeks some energy independence. It is also , as it is built with recycled and recyclable materials. economically sustainable sustainable energy environmentally sustainable LATTICE. FILTERS. The lattice and ventilated architectures imaginary part of the Mediterranean. The use of ceramic lattice represents a formal continuity and cultural systems in many Mediterranean architecture. Some trusses that are inherited, somehow, of the lattices of the Alhambra in Granada, the South snuff dryers, ... A good cross ventilation is very useful in hot climates without mechanical cooling to maintain proper hygrothermal comfort. In addition, the Courtyard-House M^3, being parts separated stays, has four orientations, so that cross ventilation is ensured through the ceramic lattice. Similarly, the small yards in front, act as thermal mattress. Also as small domestic gardens to be discovered. CONTEMPORARY THICKNESS. The contemporary architecture of the thickness has not resigned. A thickness which is achieved by the addition of specialized thin layers, leaving indoor air. Thereby creating three skins: 1.A foreign, pressed ceramic lattice large format, which generates the privacy. Sieving of light and views. 2.A interior glass. This skin provides sealing conditions. 3.Between both pieces, air and silence. Ones 'INTERMEDIATE SPACES', a livable places between the 'OUTER SPACE' and the 'INTERIOR PATIO ACCESS'. These areas will be covered, that vent through the ceramic lattice, and discovered in small yards, where it rains and plant a small family garden. O COURTYARD. SYSTEM. Courtyard is a Southern tradition. It is mixed public and private. It is a meeting place, assembly, and in Spain, it is also heir to the Roman and Islamic culture. The outdoor patio allows a domesticated, a garden in the center of the house, a Paradise on Earth. The house will look all out, but an outside inside and an outside outside. Thus, we propose a construction of a level structured only from a -flexible and open- system-consisting quadrangular cells that generate a volumetric irregular perimeter, establishing a set of rules and strategies for growth, as well as repetition of elements in the lattice of walls. The pieces are arranged one after the other, around a semi-enclosed patio, which leads to the house. CONCLUSIÓN The project reflects on privacy and shade, and a new way of living in Mediterranean climates. The house deals with a new perspective on the three Mediterranean genuinely spaces: -The interior of the house, covered and closed by the lattice ceramics and glasses. -The intermediate space between the two skins (the facade of ceramics and glass lattice). -And finally, the Quad-domesticated garden, which is formed between the parts of the house. Courtyard-House M^3 aims to innovate from tradition. A PLACE, A HOUSE. The Mediterranean architecture takes the place written in their genetic code. The buildings are set in the landscape sensitivity who knows. It relies on the topography, and avoid trees, respecting them as a heritage element. The Courtyard-House M^3 also fits the place. Respect the existing tree vegetation. The grouping system to generate different situations, depending on where they settle. A place, a house. CAVES. WALKING-SCAPES. In the "cave houses" the people will moving from one room to another, without the need for a distribution corridor. There is a double experience: first, the bondage of privacy, and on the other, the linear structure of the course. In the Courtyard-House M^3 is the vain endeavored to cross from one room to another, be generous. Thresholds are where you can have contact with the outside through a glass corridor.
