FaithFaithFaithLet me once more set forth the Bhavans faith for the benefit of new students and
members, for it is necessary that they should understand it clearly and imbibe its spirit.
The Bhavan stands for the reintegration of Indian Culture. In a world falling pieces under
the impact of an amoral technological avalanche, it tries to hold fast to the fundamental
values for which our culture stands:
RITA, SATYA, YAGNA AND TAPAS;
FAITH in God who forms the Cosmic Order; TRUTH which is a cord between mind, word
and deed; DEDICATION which offers all movement of life as an offering to God;
SUBLIMATION which purifies the body and mind and transmutes instincts, passions and
emotions into things of beauty. This regardless of form and doctrines is Dharma, the
three fold aspects of which are SATYAM, SHIVAM, SUNDARAM - Truth, Love and Beauty.
For these values our forefathers lived and died. So did Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa,
Swami Dayananda, Swami Vivekananda, Gandhiji and Sri Aurobindo among moderns.
These values are embedded in our national outlook.
We command the respect of the world because of them. We can look forward to the
future with confidence only because they have the vitality which gives the power to
vindicate their validity even in this fear-and-avarice ridden age of ours.
We must make every effort in restoring an awareness of these values in personal and
collective life.

An ecstasy achieved through service
Sh. P D Kumar, the founder Chairman of Amritsar Kendra of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, was an Industrialist turned into
a stupendous philanthropist. He donated his prime land of considerable value to Bhavans in order to make quality education accessible to the children of middle and lower middle class family. He had a wider vision for the residents of Amritsar and laid the foundation of Amritsar Kendra in 1991. This Kendra became his passion and he did all his sincere efforts to bring it to the zenith. He had envisioned it with distinctive education. He wanted that students should be brought up in a distinctive manner so that they are not taught only academics but also the real skill of true humane. He was authentic combination of virtues like humility, love, seless-service, charity, generosity and benevolence. He was audacious enough to choose his own path and become the torch bearer for the many.
Today School is marching ahead with an absolute strength and substantiality to the extent that now Bhavans SL Public School-II has been opened at Islamabad on the premises owned by Sohal Lal Kailashwati Trust of which Sh. PD Kumar was Former Chairman and donated this particular land to the trust. Hence it is his magnanimous charity which is nurturing Bhavans Amritsar till date even after his departure for heavenly abode in 2002.
May all be happy, May all be free from illness May all see what is spiritually uplifting May no one suffer Om Peace, Peace, Peace
Vision“OUR VISION IS TO MAKE OUR CHILDREN BELIEVE IN”
"The Bhavan has made considerable progress in achieving its objective, namely, the reintegration of Indian Culture to suit modern conditions. I congratulate the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on this success and hope that it will continue to make strides."
-Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Former President of India and Bhavan's Founder Member
"The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has been doing excellent work all these years in getting our generation back to its roots. In the noise and intensity of modern life the youth are wandering bewildered. It is essential for them to get back to the roots and that is why I appreciate very much the work which the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is doing."
Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Former President of India and Bhavan's Founder Member
"The Bhavan has served Indian Culture with ability and perseverance and has made truly remarkable progress in many aspects of Indian Culture. The Bhavan's past record gives assurance that this progress will continue in the future also and the Bhavan will create fresh records in the service of India's culture. A very fine institution which deserves every encouragement and support." -Shri Jawaharlal Nehru, Former Prime Minister of India and Bhavan's Founder Member
"The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was started at a time when Indians were gradually getting westernised and our thinking and approach were moving to that direction. India must not lose its soul. The Bhavan is spreading Indian Culture, philosophy and spirituality in India and abroad and helping India to make its humble contribution to the world for peace and for better international cultural relations."- Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, Former Prime Minister of India
"One can hardly find words of adequate expression in the whole library of English literature to acknowledge the invaluable contribution to humanity that Kulapati K.M. Munshi has made by founding such a unique institution."
- Shri R. Venkataraman, Former President of India
"The wide range of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's activities and the success they have achieved can only be described as
Bhavans is an instute which nurtures the hidden potenal in students providing an ideal plaorm for them to channelize their creave outbursts and lend expression to their thoughts and views on various aspects in friendly environment. Educaon is one of the means to transmit the light of knowledge and spread the radiance of it in the ambience in which we live. Inspired by the teachings of our scriptures and with our Moo "Let Your Light Shine" we aim at the holisc development of each student under the banner of Bhavans SL Public School and lay a lot of impetus on honing every aspect of child's personality that works towards nurturing the child into a happy and well equipped human being. We believe that educaon is an effecve medium of social transformaon. We accord prime importance to the behavioural discipline, moral integrity and cognive developments of our students. Our teachers strive to teach not only academic programmes but also life skills needed for students.. With the support of the staff and families, our students explore, express and excel academically and creavely. I am grateful to all the parents for their sincere involvement and the selfless service of the teachers in the school.
Every new day dawns with different challenges
The world is changing at supersonic s p e e d w i t h b i g c h a n g e s i n technology and today's children have to face it boldly. The aim of Bhavans is to equip the students to tread on the untrodden path with dedicaon, discipline and internal movaon to get success in their stride. Bhavanites must believe in themselves and their loay goals.
The prime need of this generaon is value based educaon. We believe that a good educaon is one that shapes the growth of an individual's creavity, knowledge and character. We strive to meet the needs of the whole child and encourage our students to explore, enquire and think crically. Our inspiring environment enables students to reach their academic and social potenal by developing and enhancing skills that create the foundaon for a progressive future. One of the most significant character traits that need to be inslled in our youth during their educaon is a finely ingrained atude of service-before-self.
I believe that when you read our prospectus, you will be impressed by our desire to nurture, care, encourage and support each child with values. We aim to provide a holisc learning experience by encouraging individuality and interacng with our community.
We thank the parents for their support throughout and look forward for their co-operaon and blessings in this noble mission. Sh. Avinash Mohindru

Many people consider education as a medium of getting good jobs, living a royal life, earning money and much more. But education doesn't really mean this. Real meaning comes where one's way of thinking gets changed and one starts thinking for the betterment of the society, country and world at large. On the whole education means holistic development of a child not only restricted to the achievements of academics but also helping the child to come up with the knowledge to build a better tomorrow, with a disciplined way of life.As the Director of the school, I feel honoured and privileged to be part of an educational institution where every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. Our staff fruitfully employs two diverse strategies that are of love and logic to foster a positive learning environment for all our students. Love helps to nurture trusting relationships, where students feel respected, appreciated and loved by the teachers, logic helps to develop in students personal responsibility, self confidence and character building with high moral values. Your child's learning involves and revolves around an effective partnership between home and school. At Bhavans, we believe that every child is a gift of God, and that excellence is the way of life. Keeping this in mind, we provide the students va lue based educat ion, opportunities to grow in every sphere of life both in academics and in their personality development. I take this opportunity to thank God almighty for his benevolence, generous blessings showered upon our institution through various people and events. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all for their contribution and important role they play in the school to take the school to greater heights.

It is a maer of pride to pen down the message for the prospectus of Bhavans SL Public School ll Islamabad branch. The seeds of an idea sown in 2015 has quickly come to fruion and the school is growing into a strong sapling. The values and environment we provide to our children is congenial to see them successful in their formave years. My sincere thanks to the school’s Headmistress, teachers and other staff members without whom these successes would not be possible. They not only teach the children the subjects but also inculcate the values of commitment, zealousness and pride in everything they do. Bhavans SL Public School -II ,therefore, is commied to provide an outstanding start for children's educaon. Our mission is to serve the humanity and to nurture the future for every family we serve.
