ThelibraryisnamedasDr.HarekrushnaMahatabLibraryon11thJuly2005inthememory of Late Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab, a great freedom fighter and ex-chief minister of Orissa who hails from this locality.The library is quite well equippedanditismanagedbytheLibraryCommittee,constitutedasperthestatuteoftheUniversity.Atpresentthetotalnumberofbooksinthelibraryisabove23,518.About144 Journals and periodicals have been subscribed. Students are provided withonereadingroominthelibrarytomakeuseofreferencework,etc.Theday-to-dayfunctioningof the library is lookedafterby theLibrarianunder thesupervisionofthe Director, Dr. H.K.Mahatab Central Library. A. Subject to the specific provisions mentioned against each course, in order to be eligible for admission into any Post-Graduate course, a candidate shouldhave passed three year Degree Examination inArts/Sciences/ Commerce ofF.M.UniversityoranyexaminationrecognizedequivalenttheretobyAcademicCouncilwithHonoursintheconcernedsubjectorhavingtheconcernedsubjectasapass/electivesubjectwith50%marksintheaggregate.
B. Candidateswhohaveappearedat thequalifyingexaminationsandtheresultsofwhichareawaitedarealsoeligibletoapply.However,theyhavetosubmittheProvisional Certificate and Mark Sheet of the qualifying examinations before the EntranceTest,otherwisetheircasesforselectionshallnotbeconsidered.

I agree to abide by the rules of the University and/or Hostel attached to it and to withdraw myself from the college and/or Hostel should the authorities of the F.M. University decide that such withdrawal is necessary in the interest of the institution. I further agree that while taking part in any study tour/research tour/excursion/ picnic or any tour sponsored or conducted by the University or the Department, I will do the same at my own responsibility and in case of any accident during the same resulting in any injury to my person/property of death, neither the University nor the Department, nor any of its employees will be responsible for the same either under civil or criminal law. No other Institution/Department/corporation/company/Firm/State/Union or Individual will be responsible for such accident if their vehicle/accommodation/amenities are used for any of the above purpose, at the request/requisition of the University or of the respective department and involved in the accident.
