In the era of accelerating globalization, the borderless collaboration among universities is becoming more important.A strategic network of the leading universities of science and technology (in Asia) will act as a hub for innovation and contribute to realize sustainable world.Through this network, our mutual cooperation in the field of research, education and innovation is further enhanced. The collaboration with similar consortia in other parts of the world, such as Europe and America, will be pursued.

Each member university is encouraged to establish a satellite lab in its campus, which will be open for joint use by member universities.
Proposal of Tokyo Institute of Technologyon Joint Research through Satellite Lab
1. Tokyo Institute of Technology will establish three satellite labs A satellite office will also be established to provide
administrative support.
2. Research fund will be provided to support three joint research projects of ASPIRE League Universities About 5 million yen (55,000 US dollars) will be provided to
each joint research project. Three or more ASPIRE League Universities including Tokyo Institute of Technology participate in the research project.

Tokyo Institute of Technology will also establish an ASPIRE League Satellite Office and assign staff member(s) to make liaisons with member universities. The office will support collaboration and networking among member universities. Should other universities establish satellite offices, networking could be further enhanced.

Cooperation with IDEA League
A joint declaration to agree on future collaboration between ASPIRE League and IDEA League was signed by President Iga, Tokyo Institute of Technology and Rector Fokkema, TU Delft in October 2009
The ASPIRE League shall share information on its activities with the IDEA League.
Faculty members, administrators or students of IDEA League member universities may be invited to participate in activities of the ASPIRE League.
