Crynodeb o’r Prosiect.Brief Synopsis
• Cynnal seminarau mentora ar gyfer darpar athrawon cyfrwng Cymraeg mewn clwstwr o ysgolion.
• Conduct a series of mentoring seminars between a cluster of Schools for Welsh Medium Student Teachers.
Pam? Why?• Anelu at fod yn
ysgolion sy’n arwain yn y sector ym maes hyfforddiant darpar athrawon ac ysgolion arloesol yng Nghymru.
• Aim to become sector leading and innovative schools in terms of providing training for student teachers in Wales.
Sut? How?• Cynnal seminarau
mentora ar gyfer darpar athrawon mewn clwstwr o ysgolion gan ddarparu hyfforddiant arbenigol a rhannu arferion sy’n arwain yn y sector.
• The cluster of schools to conduct a series of seminars thus providing specialist training and opportunities to share effective practices that are sector leading.

• Improve the provision for initial teacher education and thus ensuring consistency throughout.

• A celebration of the expertise that exists within the Partnership, and the need to develop ways of making the best use of that expertise as a means of supporting our student teachers and the learners in their care.
• More effective engagement with the data we have on our student teachers as a means of setting more meaningful and specific targets to support progress.

• Cydweithio’n agos gyda thiwtoriaid cyswllt y Brifysgol i ddarparu cyngor ac arweiniad arbenigol.
• Schools to accept and educate 5 student teachers for each school placement.
• Provide weekly specialist mentoring and reflective sessions.
• Implement on the guidance provided during the week that follows.
• Collaborate with University link tutors to provide specialist guidance and advice.

• Student teachers to discuss progress with their school mentors.
• Re-convene at Ysgol y Strade to attend an hour long reflective session before taking part in a seminar on the effective use of Data.

• 75% o ddarpar athrawon yn cael eu graddio’n dda/ ardderchog erbyn diwedd PAP1 a 100% yn cael eu graddio’n dda/ardderchog erbyn diwedd PAP2.
• Use the percentage of good and excellent observations to measure success.
• 75% of student teachers to achieve good/excellent grade at end of PTE1 and 100% to achieve good/excellent at end of PTE2.

• The seminars can also be seen as an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge of existing teachers thus improving the support provided for student teachers.
