ABOUT VYASA

Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VYASA) trust is the parent organization of S-VYASA Yoga University. VYASA has poured life into Yoga Research and Yoga Therapy - two Yoga fields. The vision of S-VYASA university is “Be and Make” – is to bring the holistic vision of yoga and spiritual lore to one and all as a way of life and mission of the university is “Combine the best of the East with that of the West” - adopting the dimensions of Yoga and spiritual lore through modern scientific research.

ABOUT PRESIDENT

Dr H R Nagendra President, VYASA

Born on Jan 1, 1943, at present the Chancellor of S-VYASA Deemed University. He got PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from IISc. He was a Post Doctoral Research Associate at University of British Columbia, Canada & NASA. He shifted to Human Engineering, developed yoga and yoga therapy programs for the modern ailments along with a Deemed University named S-VYASA. SVYASA offers courses from Certificate to Doctoral programs in Yogic Sciences. It has nearly 450 research publications on yoga, more than 400 dissertations by students of various courses offered at the University. He has translated the vision of Swami Vivekananda to combine the best of the East with the best of the East by combining modern scientific research to examine the efficacy of yoga to solve the challenges of the modern era. Many National and International awards are in his credit.

to prevent India becoming “Diabetes Capital of the world”.

The main objective is to cut down and control the growing curve of diabetes in India.

Primary prevention: Prevent Pre-diabetics to become diabetics

Secondary prevention: Converting Diabetics From Severe to moderate, Moderate to mild, and from Mild to normal

Applications scrutinized and short listed.

Analysis by VYASA officials.

Report submission to finalize geographical location.

Selection Procedure for SDM Yoga Center

Responsibilities of SDM Yoga Center1. Coordinator In-charge will be single point

of contact.

2. Conduct regular classes for SDM.

3. Conduct SDM camps.

4. Run the yoga sessions as per the

prescribed module designed for SDM.

5. Organize YIDM, YADM programs

6. Data entry and data maintenance.

7. Make memberships in different categories.

8. Daily MIS & reporting VYASA - SDM

officials.

Support to center from VYASA

1. Training and orientation programs to Coordinators and

Yoga Therapists.

2. Support for marketing activities and supply of

promotional material.

3. Website and online support

4. Providing academic support to Yoga Teachers

5. Support for conducting SDM camps and training

programs

Processing Fees –

Rs. 2000 / year

Marketing Strategy

1. Complete center details will be displayed

on website

2. Details will be spread through Yoga Sudha

magazine

3. Website support, internet promotions &

advertisements, database marketing,

social networking will be done by VYASA.

4. Conducting SDM camps can be done with

the support of local NGOs, sponsorships

Fees of Rs. 2000 to be deposited in VYASA account and send transaction receipt image through mail

Receipt will be sent along with MMB booklet, DVD and chart.

Letter of allocation of VYASA SDM centre will be sent along with sample banner /

pamphlets and other material in soft copy

All details of financial implications / responsibilities should be clarified beforehand

Give the order of books and DVDs. Deposit advance amount. Material will

be couriered

Details of centre will be uploaded in website. Maintain the record of activities and send to

SDM central office
