PROOF OF ORIGINAL IMAGERY

For all of the images I used a white background, this made manipulating the image in Photoshop by removing the background easier.

Initially I was going to use this image on the front cover, however I felt the t-shirt caused it to look more like a school t-shirt, also this colour did not fit in with the house style of my magazine.

I felt this close up would make a good poster due to the way the person is posing, therefore decided to use it as a poster which I placed at the top left hand side of my magazine. As I have mentioned before I felt the colour of the shirt did not fit in with my house style, as a result if this I removed the back ground colouring it black and added the posturize effect to my image.

As I experimented with a range of different shots, which were mid shots as I had planned to have a mid shots on the front cover I took these images. However I did not use these shots as I felt there was a lack of eye contact, during progression of my magazine while designing I found images in which the model was looking at the audience looked more effective.

I did not use these images due to the posture, also I the facial expressions to not portray the type of persona I wanted to. Also the lighting for the picture at the top was not excellent.

I did not use this image due to the fact the hair at the top has been cut off therefore this looked very unprofessional.

I used this image on my double page spread as I felt the lighting was perfect, also I felt it portrayed the persona and lifestyle I wanted my magazine to sell.

This image I used on my double page spread, I chose it because I felt it was simple but still very effective due to the eye contact.

I used this image on my contents page, although it does not reflect a hip hop star, I wanted to show a different side to my star making my magazine more diverse. The lighting on this image was also extremely good quality.

I used this image on the front cover, I loved the posture, facial expressions and I felt it portrayed the hip hop stars persona very well. Also the lighting on the image is perfect. Finally on this image the hood of the star is up therefore I wanted to use this to overlap the mast head as I have seen this on other magazines and feel it looks very effective.

Here you can see the hood of the artist is slightly overlapping the masthead. Therefore by using this image I was able to incorporate this in to my own magazine.
