The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)

Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)

Aimed at Manufacturers, installers, employers and operators of

lifting equipment who have responsibilities under LOLER.

PUWER and general health & safety legislation.

Certification For every item examined, a Report of Thorough

Examination and/or Test

Certificate is issued,

conforming to LOLER.

Labelling Part of the certification

process involves ensuring

that correct SWL and ID

mark labelling is in place.

We advise and where

appropriate label accordingly.

Defects Defective items are tagged and quarantined as agreed. A

defect report is emailed to the client’s representative and

a hard copy left on site.

Recertification Generally, equipment is re-examined and certified every 6

months. Overhead lifting machines can be re-examined

every 12 months.

Location This service is offered at all UK locations or at our test

centres at Ellesmere Port, Lincoln and Wolverhampton.

Safety All work is risk assessed. PPE and access requirements

are agreed with the client.

Records Test certificates are held on SafeCert indefinitely, allowing

you to access them from anywhere at any time in the

future.

Insurance Testing work carried out by Rossendale Group is covered

by our Public/Products Liability and Professional

Indemnity insurance policy which provides cover should a

failure in the test or certification lead to losses for the
