HYSEA (Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association) is a registered apex body with more than 300 members, representing the software industry in Hyderabad under the Public Societies Registration Act. The Association represents the interests of the IT, ITES and Software Products Industry, both Domestic & Export Oriented units in Hyderabad.

HYSEA was started in 1991, by 15 entrepreneurs who saw the potential of IT and how it could change HYSEA was started in 1991, by 15 entrepreneurs who saw the potential of IT and how it could change the face of our state and its economy. Initially HYSEA helped software companies overcome their teething problems by providing them guidance and support. HYSEA’s role over the years expanded to playing a pivotal role in helping the government formulate appropriate policies and extending help in the creation of simpler and more effective procedures needed for the growth of the industry.

HYSEA had been instrumental in the Government setting up a Consultative Committee, under the HYSEA had been instrumental in the Government setting up a Consultative Committee, under the Department of Information Technology and Communications (CCIT) to speed up implementation of various incentives. President and Secretary of HYSEA represent the industry in the committee. HYSEA formed an S.I.G (Special Interest Group), which prepared the Draft Information Technology Policy for the Govt, leading to the issue of Government orders on the incentives for I.T. Industry (May 1999).

HYSEA operates through multiple forums and internal committees to drive its activities and create impact in multiple dimensions touching the IT industry. These provide opportunities for members to contribute to the cause of IT industry and also network with each other.

Membership & How to become a member

All organizations engaged in Software Development/IT Enabled Services located in the state of Telangana are eligible to become Regular members of the association. These companies could be Products / Services business, exporters or domestic business, startups / established companies, GICs etc. HYSEA annual membership fee is valid from April 1 to March 31.

Regular Membership Fee & Categories Every Member shall pay an admission fee of Rs. 5000/- at the time of joining the association Every Member shall pay an admission fee of Rs. 5000/- at the time of joining the association and an annual membership ranging from Rs.5000/- to Rs. 100000/- every year depending on the members turnover in the previous year.

The annual membership fee as approved by HYSEA Managing Committee:1. Rs.1, 00,000/- + taxes per annum for all members with an annual revenue exceeding Rs.100 crores2. Rs.50, 000/- + taxes per annum for all members with an annual revenue of Rs.25 crores – Rs.100crores Rs.25 crores – Rs.100crores3. Rs.20, 000/- + taxes per annum for members with annual revenue of Rs.10 crores - Rs. 25 crores4. Rs.10, 000/- + taxes per annum for members with annual revenue of Rs.1 Crore - Rs. 10 crores5. Rs.5, 000/- + taxes per annum for all members with annual revenue up to Rs.1 Crore

Associate Members are those companies/ organizations/ institutions that are not IT / ITeScompanies but are part of the IT ecosystem. These could include Educational Institutions, ITParks, Training Organizations, Internet/ Telecom Service Providers etc. Apart from a one-timeregistration fee of Rs. 5,000, the basic annual membership fee for this category will be Rs. 25,000.

HYSEA has a special category of membership for Patrons. It is by invitation from President with a formal approval of the Managing Committee. At any given time there will be not more than five Patron members. The fee for this category of membership is a one-time payment of Rs. 20 Lakhs. This membership will be valid for a period of three years. The privileges of a Patron member are:

• HYSEA will carry the Patron's logo wherever possible in its collaterals for branding and also provide a free one page advertisement in HYSEA newsletter 'Infowire' once a year•• Patron is entitled to have its nominee in HYSEA Managing Committee as a special invitee• Patrons are also eligible to get all the HYSEA platinum sponsor benefits

In addition to organizing quarterly knowledge sharing sessions, the forum organizes an Annual summit.

COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM Under the competency development banner HYSEA organizes periodic workshop and topic-based events for associates from member companies. These are in the areas of Leadership Development, HR functions/People practices, statutory and Compliance issues, Tax Laws, and Industry – Academia connect etc., These programs are titled Leadership Development Program (LDP), TechSeries@HYSEA, Biz Series@HYSEA and NetSeries@HYSEA.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMThe competency development forum also works to augment the Leadership pipeline for the Industry through its flagship event, ‘HYSEA LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM’. The aim of this program is to provide budding Leaders with the necessary tools to confidently and effectively lead others. Out of the five workshops organized annually two are exclusive for Women Leaders and Managers.

ANNUAL INTERCORPORATE SPORTS EVENTThe Intercorporate Sports is one of the biggest sporting extravaganzas for the IT/ITES fraternity in the city and perhaps in the entire south India. It sees participation by more than 2000 associates from member companies across 20 events.

TECHSERIES@HYSEAHYSEA, in collaboration with IIIT-H organizes technology Workshops and seminars periodically to keep associates of member companies abreast of the emerging technology scenario globally. This happens once in 6weeks.

BIZSERIES@HYSEAIs a series of seminars and workshops organized once in two months, that brings you the latest in business topics like Taxation, Finance, Marketing, Sales etc.
