23 grantees funding a total of 76 secondary schools 18 grantees were districts and 5 were charter schools 53,666 students, 63 % free or reduced lunch, in 2011-12
Graduation rates increased by 4.2 percentage points
Dropout rates decreased by 1.2 percentage points
More than 64 counselors were hired lowering student-to-counselor ratios from 363:1 in 2010-11 to 261:1 in 2011-12.
Of the 7,612 seniors 44% completed a FAFSA, an increase of four percentage points in one year.
Educators have a unique identifier that links their training and development to student performance.
Efficient and effective data exchange exists across agencies (human services, K-12, higher education, labor, corrections) and levels (district, state, federal) to promote accountability , inform policy and ensure a holistic view of student success .
Student data is captured from early childhood through college to guide educational decision-making at all levels, classroom to statehouse.
Interactive portals provide parents, students, educators, policymakers and researchers access to performance information, online content and collaboration tools to inform and improve student performance.
Multiple stakeholders use, learn, and leverage information to drive increased student performance through professional development, innovative programs and improved instructional practices.
